Is anyone else waiting to hear back about financial aid?

I received an email about access to CaneLink but when I try to look at my financial aid, it says: "Award access not available"

Are you receiving the same thing?

I think cane link was down yesterday, and it might take a while to set up your account (I think it said up to 7 days).

Also deposit is due by May 15th!

Is it something like your interview will be reviewed one last time or something?
I had that for awhile but now it says the one that says “we hope you enjoy your visit to our campus. Your admissions decision will be released shortly”

Congrats! Is this normal though? Not on a Release day? Should I compulsively check my email? Lol
He was on the alt list, which I believe can move at any point (when ppl start selecting their programs and opening up spots).

If you still haven't heard a decision it would be the Wednesday evening or Thursday morning for alt list (although also sometimes accepted Thursday morning so.... I guess it's still kind of random lol)

Edit - I was on the alternate list. I Interviewed in December for the MD and MD/MPH programs. I think they are doing some rolling decisions esp. with the MD/MPH program. But movement is happening and it's great news!

FYI UM's spring break is this week. Not sure if that will impact decision timelines at all.

Do you guys think a large percent of the class gets merit aid? I'm super stoked for everyone that does especially because Miami is already a cheaper school to begin with. But it seems like about half the class is going to end up with a scholarship maybe I'm just exaggerating

My financial aid on canelink says inquiry access denied. I clicked on accept/decline awards and it says award access not available. Anybody else experience this?

my portal has not changed to the one about receiving a decision soon. guess im not hearing back this week....sigh

Has anyone accepted in January not received access to Canelink? I haven't heard back from UM since they accepted me except for second look weekend info 😕

Has anyone had success negotiating financial aid here? I got a small scholarship but I know they go up to 15k/year

Small is a very subjective especially when you say "up to 15" and we don't know what you got. I know MIami gives 10-30k a year merit scholarships renewable each year and also diversity based ones as well. I think a few people in this thread have gotten 10k a year and many probably more.

If our portal says "will be reviewed a final time" are we likely to hear back today/tomorrow or is that not what that means?

The decision status seems to be:
We hope you enjoy your visit to our campus. Your final Admissions Committee decision will be available shortly. Contact the admissions office at 305-243-3234upload_2018-4-4_12-25-39.png or [email protected] if you do not receive a telephone call, an e-mail or a letter within seven days.

Ok, but I got an email and call the next morning and part of my heart died at 6:30pm when I hadn’t received a call yet, so y’all don’t do that thing to yourselves where life hurts for a few hours because of SDN.

That was me - I was at the gym and all I could think of was the call...never came...but maybe it will someday!

So you both never got a call but received an acceptance email the next morning?
