2019-2020 Albany

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
We are on a modified pass fail system. The majority of the class gets a G (130ish/142ish), some people get honors, and a couple with low passes.
Thanks for that info. To clarify, is that for all 4 years or just the first 2? And does the school seem to be competitive due to it?

That is the first two years. All schools require third year grades to put you into segments instead. At Albany Med we do tertiles, other schools do tertiles, quartiles or quintiles. No it does not foster a competitive vibe, we are a very collaborative group and people go out of their way to help others by creating study docs.

To any of my fellow applicants sitting in the post-interview "under consideration" pile, does Albany accept updates?

Pre-II R this morning. Complete 8/6. OOS. LM 67. Good luck to you all!

Current MS1 here, Just wanted to remind y'all that getting UC'd is not by any means bad, as most people are put in this category at first.
What is the timeline of hearing back typically after getting a UC? From this thread, it looks like people get the A about a month later. Is that usually the case?

Not a student, just another applicant. But I think the answer would be that it just depends on where you sit on the list. If you’re highly ranked in the UC group, you’ll get accepted once they start lowering the threshold.
