I think today. They already have our ranking from our MMI performances. All they need to do is set the new threshold and voila! Everyone that meets that threshold is accepted. That will happen around 5pm as we seen AMC is not shy about sending emails late in the afternoon. You heard it here first.

Albany gives very very few scholarships to first years. Aid increases as you are at the school. For example, my first year I had 0 scholarships, my second I had 4K, and my third year I have 13k. So it increases with time. There are only a few large scholarships that go out a year.

The scholarships they do give out to first years, are they sent with the acceptances or when? Do first years apply for them?

Some are based on admissions data. If you have access to WebEx you might be able to fill out the Financial Aid Application which can help them determine scholarships in the future.

So some of the scholarships internally go to certain things written first: so some may be like "I want someone who is artistic or from the state of CT" and then people with those attributes get first dibs at the scholarship.

1) is anyone else still able to submit their alternative list response form? seems weird as deadline was 4pm
2) since we are internally ranked, is it even worth it to send updated transcripts? I know they accept them but I dont see how that could change anything.

I am not really in the know regarding how others were accepted. I suspect that a good chunk got in off AL since most people get put on UC.

I sent them an email asking about the AL form. I'm not sure about updated transcripts making a difference now.

alright so there’s really no reason for albany to still not send any acceptances to the AL by now (based on past years this isn’t normal).... so here’s my theory: at 4pm last night, a big percent of people didn’t fill out the AL so they sent them a reminder email and extended the deadline to “due by May 5”. This morning, still an unusual amount of no responses so now they’re emailing or calling individual people who didn’t reply. AKA less people on AL so higher chance for us

And yes, i know i’m being neurotic but these theories can be quite fun lol

Oh, but btw they have to wait for the AL sign-up deadline to send out any acceptances. There could someone that submits the form at 11pm tonight and is ranked higher than all of us who have already signed up for the AL. They can’t just start letting people in that submitted the form fastest lol
