🙁 complete date?R right now
complete 7/31🙁 complete date?
Thank you all for keeping us posted. Got a II earlier today. Complete 8/6. So incredibly grateful. Best of luck to everyone else 🙂
Informal group conversation. Half the group will talk to an interviewer and the other half will talk with a faculty member/dean, then switch. Just bring a lot of questions! They are really looking to make sure you know BU is a good fit for you. (Tbh, too much focus on asking questions on this interview day, but that’s better than a bunch of dry lectures).Interviewing here tomorrow. Wondering if anyone who has interviewed already could answer a question for me. On their "typical interview day" they mention from 9-11 its either your interview or open discussion with a faculty member. Can anyone tell me what that open discussion looked like? Is there any preparation necessary for that or is it just sort of an informal group conversation?

They are very up front about their identity as a social justice school focusing on physicians understanding the daily social context of their patients. I was pleasantly surprised that there was so much focus on clinical and primary care instead of research here during the interview day.
Complete 7/22 for MSTP.. no II yet. radio silence... Every day I am filled w/ fear
Complete 8/05 here too but just silence!II yesterday, complete 8/05
Interviewing here soon and was wondering if anyone has recommendations for things to do in Boston (flying in two days prior) as I’ve never been there. Also, how did your interview experience compare to other schools you have visited? Is it more conversational or formal? Any advice/tips would be awesome, super excited about this one!!
Got an R this morning, secondary completed 7/25. Feels bad man.
I got a rejection without an interview at BU as well. This was my 2nd time applying to BU. I am a non-traditional applicant with an undergraduate degree from outside of the U.S., but I completed a pre-med program here. I also have extensive research experience both in public health and neuroscience research, as well as lots of volunteering experience. I have 6 publications, 5 of which are first author. I feel like BU really does care about GPA (3.68) and MCAT scores (517), but I guess mine were not good enough...
R, complete 8/5.
I’m flying to NY from California, is it a good idea to send an ITA to BUSM? Transcontinental flights are so much more expensive than a bus so I figured it might be worth a shot...

Pretty similar here. State college 3.61, surprising 525 MCAT, 3k clinical hours, but only minimal research. I took 2 years off, so I guess I'm a little non-trad too. I don't know whether to feel better or worse after seeing your impressive resume, and I'm surprised they didn't interview you. You have pretty amazing stats with your only flaw in GPA. Clearly, any school would be lucky to have you. Keep your head up! It's easy to feel discouraged around here.
Wait wait was the group q&a evaluated!?
I can't imagine it was based on how our conversation went.
yeah ok i thought this. Hear a lil rumor that it was but i was pretty shocked since that wasnt said at all lol

I'd do it. They were receptive to me and scheduled me the same week I was in Boston for another interview.I’m flying to NY from California, is it a good idea to send an ITA to BUSM? Transcontinental flights are so much more expensive than a bus so I figured it might be worth a shot...
