Y'all think there will be WL movement monday? I know they usually do it in waves, but maybe because Apr 30th was yesterday, they still have some decisions to make.
Where did you hear that they usually accept off the alternate list in waves? I didn't get a call on Friday like a few people apparently did, so I wasn't sure if all hope was lost or not.

I'm sure they'll still be taking people off the WL in the next few weeks, since it seems like a lot of other schools' WLs haven't started moving yet. Once they do, more people will withdraw here

I explicitly asked admissions about this in order to make moving arrangements. I was told that there will be a mixture of virtual and in-person requirements and that classes will start on time. They did say they are still currently discussing the details, so I expect they will make an official announcement in the coming weeks.
Hi All - Yes, we (admissions) are waiting on a message from our med ed leadership team about the start of classes! It is almost finalized and we will send it out as soon as we get the final approved version - today? tomorrow? Black Suede is correct, we are anticipating a dual-delivery model of the curriculum to start the year so we want you in CLE at the beginning of July.

Withdrew A and merit scholarship a few days ago. It was a really tough decision, but CWRU is an amazing school, so I hope it goes to one of you guys!

So I'm on the alternate list and I'm considering sending one last correspondence to the admissions office, and would love some advice on if I should. I've already sent them (over the course of the last few months) a letter of intent, an update letter about my research, an email responding to that email they sent everyone on the alt list, and the director of my lab emailed them on my behalf. Terrified of looking overly aggressive/annoying, is that enough or can I get away with one more email?

Hey everyone, Im going to be a first year dental student at case and am still looking for a roommate. I figured I would try to change it up a little and find a roommate in a different program so if anyone is still looking shoot me a message or reply to this.

on a similar note about alt list- does anyone know if compared to other schools case's alt list moves more? I have heard that in the past but was not 100% sure

Hey guys i just created a thread for those that are still on WL. Head on over there if you feel like talking/ranting/grieving about this whole WL process.

Hi guys. I will be applying in 2021. I was just wondering if my stats were okay to apply?
CGPA: 3.76
sGPA: 3.6
MCAT: 522
Extracurricular activities: 2 internships, 1 year of research (9 months wet lab, 4 months Human trafficking research), will be doing another year of research during gap year
Clinical Experience: worked in a health clinic as a referral specialist (scheduling patient appointments and served as the Membership Director for the internship program). Almost 80 hours of shadowing. Almost 200 hours of volunteering in pediatric hospital. Almost 100 hours volunteering in local and on campus food pantry.
Served as a students instructor for biology for 1 year
Leadership positions: 3 exec board positions for 3 students organizations and membership director for clinic's intern program.
Little concerned because my last two years of college weren't that great bc I had family issues, so I received a B- in biochemistry and microbe. In the fall semester of my senior year, I took an endocrinology class and got a C+ (I plan on retaking it at a good university near home). But my final semester, got all As. I worked by butt off for the MCAT. Is it okay to have some bumps in the grades? Should I consider a post bac?
Are you joking?

No, your 3.7 gpa and 99th % MCAT, multiple leadership positions, and extensive research does not need a post bacc. Ffs.

Stop posting this on the previous cycles individual school threads (you’ve done it multiple times). Post to the WAMC thread if you need help with a school list. Your gpa and MCAT won’t hold you back from getting into any school but your neuroticism might. I understand things are stressful but you’re adding to other people’s stress who check these threads for WL movement at this time of the year.

Were there any character limitations on the first optional question and research question? Thank you :)

I just went back and looked at mine and the prompt says:

"While there isn't a word/character limit, we recommend that the length of your response to be around 3,500 characters"

That being said mine was 944 characters.

Hope that helps/isn't too late
