2019-2020 Creighton

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
PSA: If you’re sending updates, which you should since Creighton is very receptive to them, don’t grovel. Tell them about your accomplishments/changes since submitting your app. They don’t need another secondary essay about how your new experiences lend themselves to being a good doctor. These are real people, with the ability to see through bs, reading these updates.

I'd say that ~50% of the M1/M2 class lives in an apartment complex directly across the street from the medical school. The convenience is big time.

While its possible to get by without a car... I'd highly recommend having one. The main teaching hospital is like a 10 minute car ride from campus.

Where do first years spend most of their time? Are classes at the main teaching hospital or the cardiac center? Thanks!

M1's spend 90% of their time in the cardiac center - that's where classes are. I'd say 2-4 hours/week are spent in Criss (depending on which block you are in) which has the anatomy lab. Once a month or so you spend time at Bergan (teaching hospital) or another clinical location.

sorry if this has been asked before but what airport did yall fly in to? Coming from NYC

Does this school take ITA emails? I'll be in town in the next few weeks. Should I even send one pre-II?

Does anyone know what waitlist movement looks like here?

When I called and asked, it was mentioned that we won’t see much movement until the second week of May - if any. It depends on what the people currently accepted do. The average MCAT for those accepted this year is pretty high!

Did you send in your transcripts and do the registar thing before you guys got your packages? Cause I didn't know we had to do that yet

What should I expect for the interview? Stressful or more conversational? What types of questions are most common?

Very chill and conversational, probably one of my most laid back interviews for sure, you’ll do great

Is there an estimated time for the final secondaries to be sent out?
Secondaries? Um it’s a little late for that. It’s February so the interview are gonna start wrapping up in a couple months...I think if you haven’t gotten one already it’s not gonna happen. I think everyone gets one so you should maybe check your spam? But honestly filling it out this late is kinda pointless.

Alternate list, interviewed 1/10

Anyone know roughly what the post interview acceptance rate is?

Received an II this morning -- However, didn't get any logistical information regarding timing, location, etc. Anyone know if I will receive another email with this information or if I can find it anywhere?

I remember receiving another email the week of the interview with logistical information.

Cardiac center at 8 am. I think the day goes until 2. Then you have a tour after.

Anyone happen to know how many they’ve accepted so far? I’m wondering if it’s worth it to go to the interview if I’m the last date possible :/

Been accepted for awhile now, but never got a financial aid package--anyone else?

Judging from the facebook page, I'm estimating 100-120 students have accepted thus far. Don't worry if it's the last day. Go in, have fun, be yourself and you may find yourself walking away with an acceptance offer in 4 weeks.

Not in the fb group but I will likely attend

Has anyone interviewing this weekend heard anything in regards to an interview schedule? Does anyone who has interviewed have any insight? I haven't heard anything past the invitation and scheduling confirmation.

If I remember correctly, after checking in there is a presentation on the school (with refreshments), then a presentation on financial aid, then the interviews (one with a current M2 and one with a faculty member), then lunch with current M1s and M2s, then the tour (med school facilities and campus).
