Hey, I got no dog in this fight. Not quite true.... the only decisions that are released on Fridays are for POST interview people. The next decision release date for those who have already interviewed is January 24. I don’t think II and Pre-II R’s come out on Fridays. I got my II on a Monday.
ETA: there are three decision that can come out of your interview at TCU. Accepted, Rejected or Hold. A hold means that at every committee meeting, they are still deciding whether or not to accept or reject you. You can be accepted or rejected during any of the scheduled release dates (with January 24 being the next). After all decisions have been released, which I believe is March 13, it is my understanding that they then create a waitlist. There is no such thing as a waitlist for them until that time.
Radio silence for me. Anyone know if they accept pre-II update letters? Are they staggering the pre-II rejections? Since it’s the end of the reason, I assume my application has been reviewed once but nothing yet.
It’s been discussed on here before and I *think* it’s on their website as well. They do not accept updates of any kind. I personally have called the office and asked an adcom and got the same answer both times. No updates.Radio silence for me. Anyone know if they accept pre-II update letters?
Yeah, that's overkill. I wore jeans and a nice shirt, didn't feel underdressed! For those who went to the social mixer, what was the dress code? Is a full suit overkill?

Lol come in wearing a white coat! You'd have to be super careful not to get marinara sauce on your collar, though.Dress for the job you want, not the job you have
Did you get accepted?Yeah, that's overkill. I wore jeans and a nice shirt, didn't feel underdressed!
Elsewhere thus far, but still waiting on this school! It's by far my number one. Hoping all of us get in!Did you get accepted?

Nope, way out of state! But I was born in Texas, and I'd love to return. Are you local?
100% overkill lol. Some of the med students were wearing t-shirts. All the prospective students wore jeans and nice shirts if I remember correctly, including myself. For those who went to the social mixer, what was the dress code? Is a full suit overkill?

Oh... wow I’m so sorry. That is devastating. I can’t imagine.Rejected after 5 holds :/ pretty devastated

Just got the call!!!!! I can’t believe this!! After having actual hives all over my body from stress and panic about this cycle and having to potentially reapply I’m so so so freakin happy right now!!! Hang in there if you’re still waiting for the A, we’re all gonna be okay guys, keep believing ❤
Got the acceptance call! Interviewed on 12/16 and was placed on hold on 1/3.
I think a small dose of concern is healthy for any med student attending a new school, however I think the amount of clinical experience and research acquired will set up the students to be strong applicants if they score well on board exams. I'm not too concerned, which is why I'm choosing TCU over other options that already have a long history of matching students into many different specialties. To those who got accepted, how worried/concerned/confident are you about residency matching for TCU with it being pretty new?
Congrats to your daughter! I believe last years white coat ceremony was at the end of July.First off a HUGE congratulations to all of the people with 'A's! You guys have worked very very hard to get where you are, also want to encourage all those who are still waiting for their phone calls - hang in there!. It just so happens, my daughter received her call on Friday - we couldn't be more thrilled for her. It is mine and my wife's intention to drive down to Texas from our home in Colorado to help her find a place and get settled in the week before Welcome Week. Does anybody know if TCU & UNTHSC will be having a "White Coat Ceremony"? If so, when would it be? We would definitely like to attend if possible.
So sorry to hear that 🙁Pre-II R just now...
Oh well

Do you mind sharing when you were complete? Kind of expecting a pre-II R myself soon
They are still interviewing. Got an II today. Complete end of September.

Last interview day is Feb 24!@SOM Admissions Hi! Are you all sending pre-ii rejections? And do you have an idea of when you all will stop sending ii's out/stop interviewing?
Is it safe to say if you haven’t gotten an interview invite by now, you’re not getting one?
I’d give it till next Friday and if we don’t get an II, it’ll be time to move on
