That's awesome! There's still hope.I was put on the interview waitlist on 2/17, and I got an invite today.
Allegedly pretty good. Can anyone confirm if they only extend offers for their class size first. So only 120 offers then they dip into the 100 waitlist? Cause that would be awesome.Anyone know what the WL movement is like?
They have admitted more than 120 people at this point, but I'm not sure how many came from the waitlist. Good luck everyone!
Although this would be a good guess, the number of members in this page is actually composed of newly admitted medical school and current medical students of all years. Also, perhaps not all newly admitted students have a Facebook or they may not want to be added to the page until they’re sure that they are set on UCD. Therefore, this page an unreliable source.Source is admitted students facebook page.
This is actually one of the most annoying dilemmas, so I feel you. I would try and just clean up your room such that the background is as simple as possible. If you can ask your fam to step out for a sec, the living room is good. Otherwise, I wouldn’t worry too much especially since the interviewers genuinely won’t care where you are as long as it’s not you skyping on the toilet.Any tips on creating an environment or going somewhere for my webcam interview? I live with family and my room doesn't seem like a very professional place.

Thank you. Do you know if the wait-list is ranked or people on the list will get called randomly?Hi all, congrats to everyone who got accepted! Also, for those on the waitlist hang in there--it's a tough wait, but the fight isn't over until it's over. I have a lot of classmates who got in off the waitlist in May, and they're some of the greatest people I know 😉
I wanted to share our first year med students' video submission for Mirth, our annual video competition. I remember watching the old Mirth vid when I was applying to Davis last year and it made me fall in love with the school and the students! Hope you all enjoy 🙂

The waitlist is actually not ranked! Everyone in the waitlist pool is continuously re-reviewed every 2 weeks--some people get accepted and some rejected and the rest are put back into the pool to get re-reviewed again.Thank you. Do you know if the wait-list is ranked or people on the list will get called randomly?

Don’t stop believing my friend! Even if you don’t get what you’re hoping for this cycle there is hope for sticking with it. This is my second cycle, and man the process it so brutal. I absolutely feel for you. It is a rollercoaster of emotion, anxiety and self doubt. Sending all the good vibes/karma I can your way!meanwhile....
thank you for answering! would you recommend sending in a letter of intent/interest if put on the WL?
That's wild. LOLWithdrawing with a full tuition scholarship. (They told me I got the scholarship about 30 mins after I sent an email to withdraw L O L)

Thankfully I received better aid elsewhere, so while I was sad/shocked initially, I still believe I would have chosen my current 1st choice. I was withdrawing because I sent them an email about financial aid a few days before and was told I’d get nothing but loans. I had no clue merit aid was being given or that I was being considered. Was definitely a crazy moment but I hope that acceptance and the aid goes to another deserving student!! Good luck everyone 🙂You could change your mind, if you communicate asap, if the scholarship makes a difference in your decision.
Just out of curiosity, I read that ~200 people get accepted in total from a couple of different post-II data logs people pulled from US News but does that make sense? If 120 people get offers and 100 people get waitlisted wouldn't that mean that almost all of their initial acceptances go elsewhere?
My MSAR expired, however if memory serves me right MSAR doesn't report how many people get wait listed nor do they report how many get accepted off the wait list... But somebody please double check. lolI'm curious about this as well. Can someone look up the numbers from MSAR and post them here?

According to MSAR, 100-150 people get waitlisted, but the number of acceptances off the waitlist is not given. My MSAR expired, however if memory serves me right MSAR doesn't report how many people get wait listed nor do they report how many get accepted off the wait list...
