I also interviewed 10/14 and have heard nothing. It's hard for me to be optimistic. But someone who interviewed earlier than us was accepted this week. So I haven't given up hope, but I also am definitely not getting my hopes up, unfortunately. Best of luck to you though!

Same boat but a tad earlier. 10/4 gang rise up
 
Don’t lose hope guys! As someone said earlier they frontloaded interviews this year which could have caused a delay in decisions! I thought I was out of the running for weeks after people near my interview day were accepted but was then pleasantly surprised! It’s truly possibly that they have not gotten to your application post-interview or you could get an offer on their 2nd run-through! Don’t lose faith!

I think I saw someone mention UNC had already accepted around 100 people. Who knows how many after this recent committee review. I am not anxious, but I would just love to find out so I can know if I may have to scribe for another year 🙁

For folks accepted this week/recently, did you get the "instructions for accepted applicants" packet they referred to in the status update? I can't seem to find it anywhere

I have a feeling we will be getting updates (hopefully). Last yr some Pre II rejections went out the Saturday before Christmas and from what I’ve noticed they send IIs out on Friday’s maybe to avoid excessive calls haha. So good luck to those still waiting for an Interview!!
 
Hopefully we all receive good news soon!! Or plot revenge like this cat.

honestly no idea man, i sincerely hope so but i'm doing my best not to think about it because my heartrate instantly jacks up and i start sweating LOL

Was just about to ask about this! I’m so confused on how to “hold” my seat. Should I email the admissions peeps even though they’ll be closed until Jan 2?

I emailed on Thursday with no reply :/ but on the portal, there's a "Med School Acceptance Form" that I went ahead and filled out, and now I have the ability to pay the fee which I think is the two things you have to do to hold your spot.
 
portal telling me I have incorrect username or password but its the same info i've used to log in before... help

update: just tried to reset the password and it says there is no account associated with my email...

Try a different email address. Sometimes they randomly switch my login to a different email.
 
So, I was looking back through the paperwork, and I think that this paperwork is old (because the only year I found listed was 2015 on the FASFA sheet). So, if this paperwork is older and they didn’t update it with information for the rolling admissions, which is new this year, then the December update listed may be from previous years and not meant for us ‍😵🙁 So, the December update may in fact be fake news :arghh: We may have lost our minds over nothing...good practice for medical school🤣

I thought they said in an email that we'd get an update? But maybe they haven't updated that either. Would make a lot of sense.
 
I was rejected but curious what kind of teaching style UNC uses. (For reapplications)

Is it lecture, flipped classroom (e.g. PBL and small group learning), or a mix? Would love to hear from a current student if possible.
 
Also got the R. And then it hit me, how rude of them to send a mass rejection wave on New Year’s Eve?!? I don’t care about this school so I’m not hurt by this rejection. But I’m thinking about the other people who really like UNC and then they do this on a holiday? I just think this could have happened earlier (because I’m sure their office is closed for NYE) or they could have waited.

On the plus side, it’s a good time to make those resolutions if anyone does want to apply again! Stay positive my loves
