does BU (or any other school) care at all if your letter of rec writer is an alum? probably not, but hanging on for any small bit of hope🙂

+1. But just recognized that it has two rounds of interview. Does this mean they screen again after the first interview?

No, there’s only one interview per candidate. They just divide up their pool into two sets. People who interview sept-nov (dec? Not sure how late they schedule) will hear something in December (accept, reject, or decision deferred to March). People who interview Jan-March hear back in March, along with people who were deffered from the December pool.

Rejection just now, complete 8/5, no delay email. LM 75. Is it too early to ask for a feedback on my application?

I wouldn't ask. They're probably swamped. Plus, you won't need to if you get accepted elsewhere!

I'm thinking that people who were complete in July up to August 5 as of now that have not heard back yet (II or R) are on hold for a potential interview in the second wave. What do you guys think about this theory?

I can dream, but it would be interesting to see what made us special enough to avoid the R, but not good enough for an early II. Could be there are still some early apps that just have not been seen by slow reviewers still on their first stack of applications.

Also interested, but also highly suspect we may all just have the same slow reviewer lol. Complete 7/29

Did you receive the delay email as well? Maybe files assigned for certain slow reviewers is what determines if they send the delay email

Yes I received the delay email. I would find it hilarious if the school sends out the delay email as an apology for assigning us to a slow reviewer.

seems like the delay email is a good thing. anyone complete 8/2x receive it yet?
Nope I was complete 8/26 and haven't heard anything. Honestly I'm cool with that since watching the R waves roll out is painful lol. My time will come!

R. LM 78. OOS. Complete 8/13. No delay email.

I was complete on 8/5 and did not receive a delay email or rejection or ii. Anyone else who submitted around the same time in the same boat? Would it be weird to email BU about this lol
I was complete 8/5 got the delay email but have heard nothing since
