How far in advance (or how late) have people received their interview zoom links? I have not received mine!

After seeing people get post-II rejections, every day feels like I'm dodging a bullet

I think more applicants get skipped over than people realize. I'm complete 8/5 and have heard nothing, sounds like there are some late July completes who have heard nothing as well.

Why do you think applicants get skipped over?

Likely different reviewers read apps at different speeds
I don't think people are being skipped over, and I don't buy this theory that there are different reviewers operating at different speeds. Presumably an admission dean would be keeping tabs on the pace at which the office is moving through applications and wouldn't permit such disparity from one reader to another. In fact, I think it's likely that each reader is responsible for hitting certain metrics (e.g., 250 apps/week), which by definition would ensure consistency in speed from one reader to another.

More likely is that people are being tabled for reconsideration. As in, we're not excited enough to offer you an interview right now, but we don't want to reject you at this point either. We'll hold onto your app and revisit it later in the cycle once we've seen what more of the applicant pool looks like.

R LM 70.5 OOS ORM complete 8/25, really bummed since I work for BUSM as a research assistant 🙁

Jesus.. no one's safe
I know my MCAT was pretty low for the kids they accepted, but I thought they would at least care a little bit that I work there and know the school really well already. Bummed they didn't even give me a chance at an interview. Oh well though, rooting for you!

Yep just got hit with that R complete 08/21, good luck to those still fighting the good fight

Have there been any instances of someone receiving the delay email and then getting the R?

They really be tearing through these complete dates. Does anyone else find it weird that they're steadily moving forward through complete dates without moving backwards very much? Like if they split up applications between multiple readers, wouldn't some readers be slightly slower than others? But they move forward through complete dates like by the day

I think it's really hard to speculate on this, each school does it differently. Maybe they split apps by queues, but multiple people go off of the same queue so it averages out. I don't know. But I do know we should avoid neuroticism! And I know it's easier said than done.

Got the delay email this morning. Complete 8/18. I'm still unclear what this means, but at least it's not an R 🤔

My best guess is it means, we don't wanna reject you yet or give an II but we are going to take another look before we decide
