Nope, not true. Nobody can interpret it, so pleaseee let's stop talking about the delay email already.

Does anyone know what the II -> Acceptance conversion rate is? MSAR says ~1015 interviewed last year and 160 matriculated, but I'm wondering if there's more information somewhere with WL, etc data. I tried Googling, to no avail.

Here is the link to the post-II acceptance data. Have fun!

If I sent in an update letter before my interview, is it required that I send in another one?

Also, they’re asking for our fall classes by November. Should I just send an unofficial transcript showing the summer grades and that classes are still in progress with no grade?

I was going to just wait and send mine in early mid-December with my grades for this semester

Does anyone know the timing of their decisions? Are they rolling or just come out all on one date?

Once in mid December and once in March? It's either Feb or March. After that second date, it'll all be waitlist movement.

Does anyone who interviewed here have any tips/advice? My interview's coming up and I feel so unprepared.

Do they require transcripts to be sent during the application process? I see on MSAR they have a date to receive transcripts listed as 11/16, which I find odd because most schools don't require transcripts until you commit to enroll.

They sent out an e-mail to those who have interviewed asking us to send in our updated transcripts ideally by mid-November. However, most schools don't wrap up final grades until December. I plan on submitting my transcript and a letter of interest once my transcript is finalized.

Well I just submitted my primary. Kicking myself for not doing it during the summer because I was verified mid-June, but I honestly thought I'd never get looked at by any school. Only reason I'm applying now is because it's like a dream school and you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Will there be more interview invites? Seems like they haven’t sent any recently

Just my guess but since they separate out their interviews in 2 chunks, i think they fully booked their Sept-Nov spots so far. They might start booking their Jan-March spots soon but maybe not for a bit as they wrap up interviews and make decisions that are sent in Dec.

Have they started scheduling interviews for the second round? Dec to mid-Jan? Holding out hope but don't want to get my hopes up.

I don’t think they’ve sent any second round II yet, at least none have been reported here, and it would make sense for them to slow down/pause while they sort out the first round which is wrapping up in a few weeks. BU is absolutely not shy about rejecting people, so if you haven’t heard you’re probably still in the game!

What are the rounds for BU interviews? I wasn't aware there were rounds, just thought they were trickling out interviews as they reviewed applications

They interview from Sept-Nov (maybe early Dec) and then pause to review everyone, send one round of decisions, and then interview Jan-Feb and and send the rest of the decisions.

They sent an email to everyone who interviewed a week or so ago stating really explicitly that they want post interview updates, and at least to me the language implies that they’re going to consider no information to indicate lack of interest. Thus my dilemma. My letter is kind of an update on a volunteering thing I mentioned in my primary but have since done a lot more of combined with an expression of continuing interest in the school. Genuinely not sure whether to send it.
Did you end up sending a letter of interest/update? I just finished my interview this week and did not receive an email like that. Now I'm wondering if I should send an update or wait?

The email came a bit later after my interview, I'd expect it next week for you!

Yeah, I would expect the email a few weeks after the interview. I did end up sending it; I figured that they asked for them, and a reasonable expression of continued interest/small update isn’t going to negatively impact me. I really like BU and I want them to know!

Placed on hold until they get my Casper score. I added them to the distribution list last night, I was hoping they'd get it today. They said they check weekly for score uploads, does anyone n=know what day they check?

Perfect! Thank you for your help!

I guess this is an easy way for applicants to tell if they're first string or second string.

As someone who complete somewhat early (early Aug) and no decision yet, someone tell me I'm wrong. Sounds like BU does a rigorous job of prioritizing candidates and knowing the ones they like. The best case scenario for me now is if I get an invite later on, but since they do such a thorough chronological review, it seems like I'm not a high priority. Don't get me wrong, that's totally fine and I'm happy I lasted this long. But if I do eventually get an II, it's good to know where I stand so I can prioritize based on the other IIs I got and how quickly I got them.

It's literally the same proxy med schools use to gauge how interested you are by asking for a 2 week turnaround time.
