hello, for those who received a II did you guys get a confirmation email after submission?. I submitted mine last week, and I have FAP so I emailed the admin office asking them if they can waive my app but they haven't replied to me back. 🙁 Idk what to do. Did you guys use this email address [email protected] ?

this is what happened to me regarding FAP. If you go back a few pages you can see what I did prior to receiving the II. That is the same e-mail I used.
 
for those who received an ii did it come from the drew webadmit email? I submitted my secondary in september, and I ended up not completing my application for UCLA geffen even though I submitted a primary because I was only interested in this specific program. I just received an R from UCLA geffen (lol) and am confused if this applies to the Drew program or not? Perhaps they are sending an R from my primary even thought i didn’t even submit a secondary?

They run separately! An R from Geffen is not an R from CDU/UCLA.
 
ok good thanks--im still confused though, because I never even completed the secondary at their school (geffen) surprised it took them this long to realize 😆

someone in the Geffen forum got rejected and they never even sent a primary to them.

2020 is definitely a strange year hahaha.
 
I may have missed this but does Drew require CASPer this year? Just want to make sure they don't.

I am about to submit the secondary and was actually thinking about this. I am FAP and wondering if I need to email them to remind or will it be automatically marked as complete?

Also, my secondary portal does not have instructions on how to upload my headshot? Does anyone know if it pops up after I submit my responses or...?

I personally reached out to admissions after submitting my secondary and they said to e-mail them my FAP award in order for them to process payment.

I don’t know if this is what you’re supposed to but I received a II a few days after doing this.

It is supposed to have two sections once you log in. One option to upload a photo and one to do your questions. If the first one is not showing up try contacting whatever number AAMC lists for any technical problems.

I still haven't gotten a secondary from either of these schools and also no R's..... so idk

Good look!! Thank you both! I just emailed them a copy of my FAP Letter and Headshot just in case its a RIP when I call AAMC.

I didn't receive a confirmation email after emailing my FAP, but I just received a II today, so they must've worked it in quietly. I submitted my secondary 9/13
 
Anyone have any idea how many secondaries they send out or what proportion of applicants receive a secondary?
 
Does anyone know when we should or if we should call admissions about secondaries? I still haven't receive a secondary from them =(
 
Does anyone happen to have the secondary prompt for UCLA Drew for the 20-21 application cycle they'd be willing to share? I am trying to find out if it is the same as their 19-20 secondaries. Thanks!

Consensus is they hit you with an automated message basically saying "we will get to you when we get to you" (check a couple pages back). If I recall correctly, the deadline to submit it is November 15th and we are hitting that soon so hopefully you hear back soon.

@medp0319 @branchez96 Congrats y'all! Do you guys mind saying what time exactly you received the email. I am trying to see if it was a mass send or if the time varies. Also what day in December if you don't mind me asking. Seems like that is their last interview date since they usually end in December.

I received mine at 1:30 pm. I think the December option for me was the 12th? I opted for an interview in a couple of days instead.

I got mine at 1:50 pm and same December day

I didn't get a complete email after submitting (10/12)-- I was on here lurking back in late october and saw that people said they emailed their FAP reward, so I did the same and got a "supplemental app received" email (10/30)

+1 with @infernallyx. I got the "Charles R. Drew/UCLA Admissions - Supplemental Application Received" and read:

"Thank you for your interest in the Charles R. Drew/UCLA Medical Education Program. This message serves to acknowledge receipt of your secondary application and $75 fee or FAP waiver. The Admissions Committee is reviewing all application materials and will notify you of your status as soon as a decision is reached. We will send interview invitations through December."

I never emailed my FAP but uploaded the photo and secondary application on 10/3. I didn’t get the “secondary complete” email. Is my secondary not under review?

This happened to me too. I didn't know I had to email them until I saw it on this forum. Once I did I got a secondary complete email. I would email it as soon as you can.
 
If we didn't do FAP and submitted our secondary, should we email to ask if our secondary was received and is under review? Or just wait it out?
 
Anybody in this thread receive a secondary/interview from both the drew/dgsom program and the dgsom only program?
