It’s okay, I really love the 2 DO schools that accepted me. God has a plan, we shall see. Anyways, stats are OOS, LM 65, Nontraditional, Reapplicant, SJT = 3 (no I’m not a psycho my CASPer is great per other schools lol). Good luck with the rest of the cycle!

So sorry to hear about the rejection. I completed my app 10/7. Since you were complete 08/18 I guess I won't hear from them for at least 2 months.

To be fair to the ADCOM, the school repeatedly said over the summer that they would not use the scores in this year's admission process.

This was also referenced several times in this thread.

to be fair, they said if they believe it'll help them in their holistic process they would use it. so it wasnt as clear to me. only reason i took it. but hey, guess my interpretation was wrong.

Is this interview MMI only, or MMI + a short traditional interview? I’m finding conflicting information on the website

I'm pretty sure it's a short traditional interview and then the MMI (that's what they said on the All Access podcast episode)

This is correct.

the "short traditional interview" is also very short.

There was only time for some standard questions with very little follow-up.

I don’t think so. They seem to be reviewing pretty slowly. No one complete after 8/17 has reported an II here or on the tracker.

But you got a secondary to both right? I am wondering about those who have not gotten a secondary yet. Also, Duluth is very mission-driven with little flexibility there, thus you might still have a good competitive chance at TC regardless... maybe see you in class next fall !

Hey everyone! I just wanted to provide an update on how the AAMC SJT will factor into the admissions process. Not sure if anyone listens to the All Access Med School Admissions podcast (a goldmine of information that I highly recommend), but Minnesota’s adcom was interviewed on there last weekend and they confirmed that SJT scores will not be used in the selection process this year, and therefore it won’t be used to render a decision on whether an applicant is invited for an interview or offered an initial acceptance (which some people in this thread have already speculated or heard from different sources). They also said that if they decide to look at the scores at all during this cycle, it might be to help organize the very final waitlist after all initial decisions have already been made, but their committee has not made a decision on that yet. It sounds like it’s really just there for them to be able to gather data and see whether this test can enhance their holistic review process in future application cycles, and whether SJT scores are able to confirm the information that they already have about applicants and provide more evidence on sociocultural humility, cultural competency, teamwork, communication, etc. If they find a significant correlation they’ll probably incorporate it into their application process in the future, but if it doesn’t prove to be very effective they’ll likely end up tossing it out. So if you didn't take it or didn't do so hot (like me lol), please don't stress about it. You are all fantastic applicants and I promise that your score on a pilot exam does not define your character or negate your incredible accomplishments and experiences. Hope this helps!

That's actually competitive form them since is their minimum MCAT during normal cycles, and interviews are MCAT blind so you got a shot, stay positive.

There should be an option to customize the course. Should be the last option in the dropdown menu.

I would say its not too late, but there are a bunch of us who have been complete since Aug and still havnt heard anything yet.. just keep that in mind that you might not hear from them for awhile 🙂 they seem to be moving very slow this cycle
