2020-2021 Rush

wrong school(?) , but I can help you out still
For KCU (presuming it's the osteopathic school), the deans get together and do the final assignment of students after the interview. Then they'll assign you to a campus based off of need to fill the class size+ what your goals seem to better align with. Or at least that's what they're doing in COVID times since everyone is interviewing for both campuses
Haha, my bad and thanks

How are incoming MS1 students finding housing/flat mates?
There will be a "roommate search" excel document posted in the accepted students FB around May! It will include things like preferred neighborhood, price range, morning or night person, cleanliness, hobbies, etc. Once you see some potential roommates, you can get to know them and even do "zoom interviews" haha. This is how majority of our class was able to find extremely compatible roommates!!

Hi, does anyone know what month/day school year starts? Is it usually last week of august? That is pretty late for medical schools, right?
Our orientation started August 25th and the first day of classes was August 30th. Some schools start in July, some end of August. It was nice to have all of August during the summer.

Just got an invite to interview on 3/3! Still a chance at acceptance, or is this more of an interviewing for waitlist you guys think..?
Congrats! Rush has a great post-interview acceptance rate of 67-70%. They would not be interviewing you if it wasn't for a potential acceptance. A lot of my classmates all had interviews on the last days of the cycle.

Can I ask where you are getting the info for the ~70% post-I acceptance rate? Just curious. I'm not trying to get my hopes up about mine lol

Does that 67-70% include waitlisted applicants or is it straight up accepted after the interview? Thanks!

Does anyone know if there is a dress code for the small group class sessions?

Does anyone have any advice for the interview? Please PM or post. Interview Date 3/10. Thank you so much and good luck to everyone!

Anyone accepted and still don't have access to the portal? I was accepted 2/26 and haven't heard anything from admissions since

I was also accepted 2/26 and haven't received the info about accessing the portal either. Someone in here said it can take a month for admissions to get that info to you

Does anyone know if they’re going to send out a few more interviews or are they done with handing those out?
Based on post #764 by the TheReal Bilgo Baggins, Rush expects to be done with interviews by the end of the first/second week of March so probably done unfortunately

They said in the FA email that awards would start going out Mar. 1st, but I guess not?
Maybe they're running a bit behind. Did anyone figure out how to fill out the M1 credit policy statement? I thought all we needed to fill out was the FAFSA but I think I was mistaken.

What is this M1 credit policy statement? I have not heard of this at all.

I saw it under the required documents in the financial aid portal but there isn’t a link to complete it. I’m confused and couldn’t find it mentioned in the PowerPoint presentation they gave.

Hi.
I have provided the link to find it. It is located under the " Medical Student forms", on the first page, scroll down.

pre-II R just now! Seems like Rush is done with interviews now. Good luck everyone!

Soooo what do we think it means if we didn't get the pre-II R today??

Pre-II R just now. Highly expected and just happy they put me outta my misery.

Best luck to everyone here 🙂

Just to confirm, interview season is officially over. Just letting you know for peace of mind. Wishing you all the best of luck!

Pre-II R yesterday, OOS, Complete November.

Good luck!

Hey everyone, first time poster. I was placed on a "priority" waitlist a few weeks ago. Is there a regular waitlist or is priority the term they use for all waitlisted applicants?
