I’m honestly curious as to why I was placed on hold for a potential interview, Not that I’m composing, but with my stats I thought I was going to be rejected for sure.
 
Has anyone here gotten REJECTED post interview? Or is this a school that primarily places everyone on the AR no matter how bleak

I've been lurking here a fair bit, but haven't seen any post-II rejections. This aligns with what they say on their website (FAQs | Medicine), where they say very few are rejected during the interview season.

Yea I haven't either. I hope that's a good thing. What I'm not sure about is if they send post-interview rejections after the interview season...that's when they send pre-interview rejections, so I wonder if they just send them all together. I hope not!!!
 
When were the last badge of acceptances? Have November interviewees heard back? I interviewed early December so I'm just curious

well as far as I know, acceptances for people that interviewed on 11/5 went out, but a week or two ago someone who interviewed mid-october got an acceptance. There were probably more people in that batch that just aren't on SDN. I interviewed 11/13 and haven't heard anything yet, so this process is painfully random
 
Are any of the interviewees in here open to telling their mcat scores? I know it’s a touchy subject but I like to know just to try and see what my chances are looking like. If not that’s cool too. 😬
 
Can someone please elaborate on their virtual interview day experience? The school website appears to be old and not update since it still discusses a in person activities such as a "working lunch." Did you guys write a report about the interview and was there a "standardized patient" exercise?

There is a virtual standardized patient exercise, but no report to write about the interview

i was under review 12/2 and still havent heard anything. it seems like time to hear back is 3 months after being placed on review, at minimum.

I think they are backlogged due to the massive amount of applications they received and later in the cycle. This entire admissions cycle is a black box,

For reference and not bragging, I submitted end of July, under review late August, II in late September and decision came out 1 month after interview. So roughly, 1 month between each stage.
 
Does anyone know if it would be better to upload an additional letter of recommendation to the AMCAS website or instead to the Tulane portal as a supplementary document? I feel like it's more likely to be seen in the portal, but the AMCAS website seems like the more official way to do it.

Complete 08/24, OOS, LM 72, and got my under review email yesterday!

I interviewed at Tulane last year too before getting waitlisted and never rolling off. I hope they give me another chance! I like the school a lot.

Based on your signature, you are a veteran lol. Do you have any advice that you would suggest from your application cycles? Not just for Tulane, but in general

Never stop growing and living! Between failed application cycles I kept gaining experience working in clinical research full-time and learned to speak Spanish (with university staff tuition credits paying for that) and even some Mandarin. Not getting into med school can be an opportunity to do stuff you won't have time to do in med school. As a bonus, this stuff looks great on applications too.

Yep, I did last year in June I think. It didn't work and I believe they said there was limited waitlist movement. FWIW two other schools I was waitlisted at also said waitlist movement was minimal.. I guess last year was a really bad year to be stuck on 4 waitlists 😕
