if financial aid information comes out next week, maybe that means everyone would have had a decision by then. I have a friend who had the last interview in February who hasn't heard back yet.

Were you waitlisted? I feel like they waitlisted 90% of students who interviewed for SJV PRIME.
I was! This is completely just a theory, but I think that they’ve accepted the max/close to max number of applicants that they can. It seems like most interviewers were accepted early on in the season and now practically everyone is being waitlisted. I don’t think it had anything to do with SJV, I think it’s just that there’s no more room at this point :/ makes me wish I’d chosen an earlier interview date though

2 people from the 2/2 date were accepted but your theory seems fair. They just don't have as many spots left so they waitlisted more applicants in the hopes that they would receive admission from SJV PRIME. That's my theory. I hope I don't get voted down for saying this but it would have been better if they had rejected more applicants instead of placing them on the waitlist giving them false hope for a few spots that may or may not open.

Seems like we are getting to the end of the road - hopefully we all hear back this week!

I agree! I’m pretty certain all decisions will be out Friday. Good luck friends!

Where did you see the two 2/2 acceptances? I thought we were all in the same boat, but I guess my theory is off

yeah maybe they thought most of the sjv applicants were qualified but wanted the sjv admissions to make the final decision
That’s what I’m hoping for! It was just strange that the email didn’t mention SJV at all. It makes me worry that maybe they aren’t actually mutually exclusive like we thought? Because in previous years I believe you had to get into the regular MD program to get into SJV. But during the interview we had one person tell us it’s like that, and another person tell us that they are two completely separate programs. I guess only time will tell us which it really is...

Thanks for reaching out to admissions.

Kinda bummed tho, literally getting Alerts but no news is stressful. Hopefully they at least notify us January interviewees this week.
I don't think the alerts mean much. Can someone confirm?

Did anyone still waiting for the post-II decision just received an email from the financial aid office?
My friend did and she was freaking out bc she interviewed in February and doesn't have a decision yet. She was hoping it means she got accepted. Lol. I received it as well, but I was admitted awhile ago.

Same! I really hope this translates to a good news because the waiting is killing me lol

Oh I just realized I got it lol it said “AAMC upcoming webinars” in the subject but it’s a forwarded email from Andrew Wong from UCSF student financial services. I’m waitlisted rn for regular MD, but still waiting for sjv. I also finished FAFSA and the UCSF financial aid portal

Any WL non-SJV people receive the email? It does say "Dear Student" 😵😵😵 This wait has me grasping at straws fr

Edit: Also received the email, waiting for decision

I have not received the email. I have not received decision or filled out the ucsf specific form.

Does anyone know when will they release SJV PRIME decisions? Has anyone been in contact with their office lately?
