Seattle interviewees from last week- does anyone know if we are expecting the update by the end of this calendar week or business week?

Wondering the same thing..

Edit: I looked over the threads from past several years. It seems that the emails are sent out on the following Mondays if the EXCOM meeting is on Friday. So maybe they had their meeting today? Not sure if they call people who are accepted though. At least for the past several years, the EXCOM member would call the accepted students on the day of the EXCOM meeting. Maybe this year is different. So all in all, I have no idea...

Thank you. I was complete 10/4 and the waiting is killing me. My DO interview at ATSU-SOMA is 12/2. That is my first choice DO school, but UW is my home!!!

For Seattle I would think people could hear back next Friday since there’s another interview Wednesday, then nothing until December. FWIW, in non-COVID times, my mock interviewer said that some people hear back within a few days of their interview and some wait up until August. Lots more waiting ahead 🙂

Lurker here. I received my acceptance call this afternoon from my ExCom interviewer (still in disbelief) and interviewed last week. They told me the official acceptance email will come next week.

If it helps, I was told by a current student that most students are placed in continuing consideration until March when all of the interviews have been completed. I’m a re-applicant and that was my experience last cycle.

Congrats on the acceptance!! I have a feeling that SUC or rejection emails are coming out next Monday...It seems EXCOM had a meeting today. Feeling nervous...:nailbiting:

CONGRATS!! So happy for you. I've heard the same from staff and students re delaying decisions until March, but was just really hoping for an early A (especially from my top choice) to take some stress off of the rest of the cycle.

Thank you so much! I will most likely keep posting in here because I am still such an advocate for UWSOM's program. just hurts that I will be going somewhere else! 😢 Best of luck to you in this cycle!!
 
Went through the past 2 years threads and the first acceptance waves went around the 15th. Seattle folks should hear back first in mid November

Yeah that email made it seem like we would definitely hear back by last Friday. I swear my resting heart rate was like 100 the whole day freaking out every time my phone buzzed.. I was very butthurt Friday evening lmao

yeah. that's what the email I received after my interview said as well. So anxiety-inducing...
 
is UW extremely mission based or something? im IS with great stats and ECs that aren't horrible at all (but with nothing geared towards the underserved) but got pre-II R..... feeling crushed since if I cant get into one of my own state schools, who else will accept me 🙁

They are very mission based. If you're not accepted to a program and need to reapply, they do hold sessions to review your application and help make improvements!

Is it safe to say that if I interviewed for the Seattle foundation site the week of 10/19 and haven't heard back, that I will receive either a rejection or a continuing consideration?

I think it's safe to say that everything is messed up because of COVID and until you get the R or the deadline passes, you're not out yet! Also the 4-6 week time period is probably extended by the unprecedented number of applications that they receive as well as the fact that they have to schedule interviews for 6 different locations, so there's that too.

From my understanding above the thread, almost, nobody has heard back yet (except for a couple people). UW according to the website/interview email they send will make decisions for Seattle campus from now until March so you can be in continued consideration until March if they chose (which undoubtedly would suck). But again, until you get an answer, have hope 🙂
 
Do I have a better chance of being accepted if I choose Spokane or Seattle?
 
+1 for SUC. Was really hoping I wouldn’t have to wait until March but seems like that’s probably gonna be the case
 
Just got the ‘Continued Consideration’ email. Interviewed (10/19)

Does anyone know the stats for getting accepted from SUC pool?
 
in state, complete 9/25, indicated seattle campus on my secondary. no II yet.
guess thats not good

ive plotted all the times it took people to get II's and it seems to have started at about 30 days and slowly increases by a day or two per week. its now around 40+ days.
