From my understanding of the email they sent about decisions, you can be SUC until late January when the rest of Spokane cohort finishes interviewing (based on the phrasing copied and pasted below):

"Applicants interviewing for the Spokane cohort in November may have a decision made about their application in November, and all Spokane applicants will have a decision in January. The majority of applicants who interview in Seattle do not receive a final decision until February or March."

This aligns with the past sdn threads.

Has anyone that passed the 6 week mark they claimed to respond post-secondary still not heard back? I am in the 7th week and still radio silence

I'm just checkin timeline:

Complete 10/8; in state; 2 degrees from UW (MSW 3.94 GPA / BSN 3.7 GPA all while working full-time) OChem degree from 2000 (in Ohio)
Very strong LOR from tenured UW faculty and 10000 hours working as a social worker and registered nurse...
I'm getting worried about receiving an II; I indicated both Seattle and Spokane and applied as a TRUST Scholar.
I'm also a very non-trad in my mid 40's applying for the first time with a dedicated Hx of working with the underserved and dedicated to a residency in primary care (Family Medicine or Med/Peds)
Am I out or is is just taking forever...?

Almost all the IIs I have seen posted here have been given to those complete in September. They'll make their way to your application. Don't worry too much; you are a strong applicant

how long did it genrally take to hear back about an ii after submitting a secondary? also do they do pre ii rejections?

For those who have already interviewed, I am slightly confused about the interview day format. So you check-in before your interview and then after, go to your portal to join your interview... What happens between check-in and the interview (I have a 3 hour gap)? I am in the Spokane cohort but I assume the format is the same for all.

You just log off and do whatever! The check-in is just to make sure your tech is all working and to ask any last-minute questions of Admissions staff. Then whenever your actual interview is you log into the portal link!

Thank you so much! And then post-interview, is there a presentation or something similar we log back into? I know the virtual experiences are meant for learning more about the program but this set-up seems unique so I just wanted to check.

Nope! Just the check-in and the interview (and the virtual experience but I did that the day before my interview day.)

Hello! I just want to confirm that I have to agree the terms of video interview in the portal first and then I get the link. The link also shows the interviewers name. Am I correct? Appreciate!

based on all the self reporting in the thread, I made this graph. There was only a rough correlation when I excluded rejections and two outliers of people who took 55 and 60 days to receive their interview invite.

The equation can be used to roughly estimate a date you should expect to hear back. the further you deviate from this, the more likely a rejection is in my opinion.
to demonstrate I will use my submission date of 9/25
that is 24 days after 9/1, so I make the value of x= 24
y = 0.2554(44075+[24]) - 11222
y= 40.88 -> 41 days
so 41 days after 9/25 is 11/5 so where the hell is my rejection/II
haha. hope this helps.

I'm Texas' finest applicant (basically premed's Beyonce) 😉

Got a mission statement request and was super excited.
Then after months, got a secondary and was even more excited.
However, just got rejected today before receiving an interview 🙁
~ slightly heartbroken~

What a sad day........... FOR UWSOM.
They really could have had it ALL. I would've been the perfect fit.
Guess I'm just always gonna be the BEST THING THEY NEVER HAD (currently sobbing while listening to the song).

Good luck to all of you who are still in the loop! Y'ALL BETTER NEVER LET A SCHOOL GET YOU DOWN AND IN YOUR FEELS. NEVER DOUBT YOURSELF BECAUSE YOU CAN DO IT ALL SIS. YOU ARE THE BADDEST b*TcH that has existed thus far and it's only going up from here. NEVER LET A SCHOOL DEFINE YOUR POTENTIALS BECAUSE YOU ARE A QUEEN. your crown might slip but it will never ever fall.

Catcha on the other side babe.

I’m sorry🙁 when did you submit your secondary if you don’t mind me asking?

It worked pretty well for me! I got my II about 2 weeks before the interview, didn't do much prep besides reading their interview web page and read over my application. Ended up with the A.
Wait seriously? That's pretty short notice especially considering I have multiple interviews in early-mid December.

So they send out scheduling for the interview info later? Just want to confirm so I didn't misread anything lol

Yeah it was fairly short notice and a bit stressful because UW a slightly more stressful interview than some other schools. I think I had the option to schedule a later interview if I wanted but I don't fully remember. Also, they don't have the role-play scenario this year which makes the interview a bit easier to prepare for.

I would love to hear from some of the current UW-Seattle students if any would like to answer some questions for me.

1. How do you afford the cost of living in Seattle/near campus?

2. Is there any apartments/on-campus housing that you know of that medical students tend to live in?

3. Do you need a car?

4. I know that a far majority of students are non-trad. As a traditional student, will I feel out of place here?

5. Are you happy at UW and do you feel that the faculty supports you/listens to you?

6. Is there any camaraderie in the medical class? Is it easy to make friends/form study groups or do you feel isolated?
in undergrad....
I lived two blocks north of campus and rented a room in some slum house for 480$/mo. I had 17 roommates, most of them were very poor and worked on the ave (restaurants near by) and there was a lot of sketchy stuff. domestic violence, mental illness, drug use. but the rent was 480$ a mo. i think its around 600$ a mo now for the same room haha.

1. how to afford? well it wasnt that much, i just bought a gun and kept to myself. you might wanna get a studio though, i think theyre around 1800$/mo in the same walking distance area. I also dumpster dived at the campus cafe's when they closed for the weekend and had to throw everything out, and stole all the food left over from campus events. I had a whole calender and it was about 80% of my food costs.

2. I think they have special dorms for professional students which are like 2 blocks from the med building where most of the classes are. The campus is really separated into N vs S where the S is most of the graduate health programs. those dorms are crazy spendy and u have roommates.

3. I had a car and it was a big hassle. UW used to make everyone sign up for their buss pass which is pretty useful. there was 2 blocks North of campus they forgot to zone off for parking and I parked my car there for 3-6 months at a time. I put a bunch of trash all over my seats so no one would break in. I would frequently see ~ 3 times per week people walking down the streets and scoping out every car to see if there was something to steal. If u park long term the trash cammo is a must. all my friends got broken into, I never did in the 3 years i parked there. just dont bring your car.

4. lol idk

5. idk

6. ive heard the spokane campus is a lot more close knit and chill. ive only talked to former spokane students
