Hello friends! I am an Idaho applicant, and I just finished my interview yesterday (Jan 27th). Towards the end of the interview, I was told the EXCOM members will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 4th, to discuss all of the interviews. They will then call people with acceptances that day. If you don't hear anything by Tuesday, you will receive a notification on Wednesday or the next few following days with a SUC or a rejection.

For those who have yet to interview.... good luck! The interview was super laid back. Just remember to be yourself and everything will turn out okay!!

Thank you for this helpful information! Could you clarify if you are referring to Tuesday, Feb. 2nd or Thursday, Feb. 4th? Also, does this apply to TRUST applicants as well?

Hi! I apologize for the misunderstanding! I meant to write down Tuesday, Feb. 2nd. Thank you for the clarifying question!

As far as the TRUST applications go, my EXCOM interviewer told me that they will have a meeting on Tuesday where they will discuss all of the applicants who interviewed during the week of January 25th (for the Idaho cohort). I would assume that TRUST applications are also in that mix, but I did not clarify at that time. I apologize!

Fellow Idahoan! I wish you luck 🙂

This is what it feels like being an applicant from one of the WWAMI satellite states.

Also, Idaho Gang rise up! I've felt so alone for so long. It's great to see people popping up on this thread.

Will Spokane cohort know the decision tomorrow or next Monday?

Anyone from the Idaho cohort wanna share something they learned from the Dean's presentation/Student Panel? Couldn't make it because of work 🙁 May you all get that "A" next week!!

You can DM me if you have any specific questions. I'll edit this comment later to post some of the more important information I got out of the panel.

Likewise! I had to work all week, so I was unable to make it. Any info would be great!

Does anyone from the alaska cohort have any updates? I still haven’t gotten a interview confirmation email.

I got a few questions about the interview process.

1: I’m told to include a 3”x5” picture before I can schedule. I look horrid right now, but I have a selfie that looks exactly how I look now. Can I post that? I have one with a suit from last year, but I’m clean shaved in that.

2. how does the post interview process work, in regards to the ex com? Are there separate ex com meetings for the different cohorts? And how do they vote?

I mean, you could shave for the interview couldn't you? I'd highly recommend sending a picture that you feel comfortable with and that makes you look professional. First impressions count.

In Alaska there really isn't that many applicants. I don't think you have to worry about the same timelines as people interviewing for Seattle. People involved in the Alaska admission process will get together to make a decision, unsure of timeline (but I'm sure you can find out by looking at last year's thread), and it's anybody's guess how exactly they make their decisions.

Take a deep breath, be prepared but be yourself. 🙂

For AK, the Excom meeting takes place on Thursday of the interview week (so on the 11th), once all the applicants have been interviewed. Decisions go out that Friday (12th). Acceptance calls in the morning/early afternoon, WLs and Rs were emailed out ~5-6 pm. This was the case last year, I hope this hasn't changed with COVID.

General rule: if you're not interviewing for Seattle, you'll get your decisions fairly quickly.

Figuring out how they vote is guesswork. They'll try to have a mix of people with different experiences that somehow fit together.

I am waiting anxiously as well. When did you interview?
I interviewed 1/19. They said i should know by the end of this week but it looks like only acceptances are notified and the rest are emailed the following week.
