Likely wont be for a while.....Montana had interviews this week and their Excom meeting was today; Idaho's excom meeting is 2 weeks from today.
Not sure who you are replying to, but I am from a group of interviews from last week (in state applicant) and they told us we would hear by the end of this week.

Have you received an SUC or any update so far?
Nope, all they told me was to expect something by today. But based on the previous round, they sent out SUC emails on Monday. So that’s pretty much what I’m expected for Monday

The only applicants that hear back when they specified are those who are accepted, which is very few (early on). They mentioned that the majority of applicants won't receive a final decision until March and this seems rather consistent with threads of past years. The waiting game definitely sucks but we'll get through it! Good luck to all of y'all 🙂

Definitely not looking for a final decision but I don’t think it’s too much to ask for them to communicate when they say they are going to, no matter what your status is.

Hi might be a dumb question but what does "SUC" stand for? Also any Montana cohort hear anything yet? They said Friday or over the weekend so feel like people should be hearing???

I agree! I'm just stating what the general trend has been this year.

Do you guys know if my cam needs to be on during the Virtual Day Experience?

Any other Wyoming folks still waiting for the scheduling email? My II email said interviews would be the week of Feb. 1, and that we'd get an email to schedule ours 3-4 weeks beforehand. We're well beyond that window now and it's been radio silence... trying to figure out at what point I should email them to ask.

I would say it is probably encouraged but not required
Yes, it does! You will be able to see everyone on the Zoom. You don’t need to dress professionally but I wouldn’t suggest rolling out of bed for it.

Also, as a public service announcement for those receiving rejections:
"If rejected, WWAMI applicants can request a feedback appointment by contacting the Office of Admissions between January and April: [email protected] Please note: we do not accept feedback requests any other time throughout the year. Also, we do not offer feedback to applicants who are not residents of WWAMI states."

Haven’t gotten a second SUC yet or an R 🙁 getting nervous...

Whoa, I'm so sorry to hear that guys! Can I ask how y'all felt about the interview when it happened?

Hi all, I interview soon and had a question about where we do our Foundations Phase if we are OOR? Do we do them in Seattle? I'm in kind of a weird situation where I live in a WWAMI state but didn't technically have residence there when I applied, so I wonder if they would place me in my state's campus instead?

Congrats on the II!

If you're OOR, you're automatically assigned to Seattle. UWSOM is weird in its admissions; residence in a WWAMI state at the time you apply is crucial. Here's what the UWSOM Admissions site says:

"To be considered as a WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho) applicant, your legal state of residence in AMCAS (American Medical College Application Service) must be listed as Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana or Idaho. (Applicants interested in the Wyoming cohort may have another legal state of residence listed, but must be verified by the Wyoming residency certification office to be considered for admission into that cohort.)

If your AMCAS legal residence is not one of the WWAMI states, you will be considered as an out-of-region applicant. Out-of-region applications undergo additional screening processes and will only be considered for admission into the M.D. program if they have an exceptional record of service and/or come from a disadvantaged background.

Applicants from each of the WWAMI states will be considered for admission into their state’s cohort. For example, applicants with Idaho listed as their legal state of residence are automatically considered for the Idaho cohort and, if invited, will interview in Idaho for one of their seats. Applicants from out-of-region will be considered for the Seattle cohort."

If you haven’t gotten one it might be a good idea to email the office. Or maybe they’ll call you with some good news instead???
I was already SUC’d once, but it looks like there was just another round for the Seattle cohort and people from my days have heard stuff. May give it until the end of the week then call.

I’m OOR and interviewed on 12/15 and got SUC once but didn’t hear anything back yesterday. Does anyone know what I should expect?

Same here. Interviewed 12/16 and no update yesterday. I'm guessing there's just a stack of us they didn't get to at their last meeting (for better or worse?).

I have my fingers crossed for yall!!! I got SUC’d again but I’ll take the limbo over the alternative any day 🙂

Does the UW provide the name of the interviewers a day or two before the interview? Also, how do you guys recommend preparing for the role playing portion of the interview especially as it’s going to be performed virtually.
