2020-2021 Vermont

Hey everyone! I received an II yesterday as well. Complete late August.

I know the interview is MMI format, but I was hoping if anyone who already interviewed can offer insight as to whether they asked any application-specific questions or was it all situational? I know some MMIs have a session that is kind of like a traditional 1 on 1 interview.

Thanks in advance if you're able to answer!

Stats pleas ?
Anyway, here they are.

has anyone not had their casper scores received? I had them transmitted a while back and my status still says they arent received so my app is incomplete. thinking of emailing them now since its been about a week since I submitted the secondary

It shouldn't take more than two weeks.
to have capser scores received by Vermont you mean? I took the test in early in August and all the other schools I distributed it too had them by the end of August. Do you recommend reaching out to them already about this?

what the heck did people say for the "what did you learn from someone unlike yourself" why does this feel impossible

I can’t share my personal response because it’s very specific, but I would say think broadly about your answer. It’s not limited to different races, but includes cultures, socioeconomic status, disabilities etc. It also doesn’t have to be a negative thing. Think about the places you’ve been. Are there any specific events that were geared toward a group of people different from yourself that maybe you learned from?

Not sure how helpful that was, but I got an interview and my response was along those lines.

thanks for your reply. I have had a number of ideas, but keep hitting dead ends.

I was thinking about writing about one of my friends I met in college who was sober, but I didn't know if this was too controversial?

what did OOS people write for the residency history? no idea what to do for that question

Anyone know if they will consistently continue to send interview invites ? Really hoping to get one maybe after they send acceptances and rejections tomorrow.

There are specific instructions on the FAQ portion of the secondary portal

oh wow I didn't even realize those instructions existed... I answered the residency history part just briefly detailing where I've lived and when but not in the format indicated and without population size. ugh I feel dumb lol does anyone think this will reflect poorly? should I reach out?

I did not realize that they addressed the residency questions in the FAQ. I am thinking about emailing them.

I made the same mistake and I just emailed them. They said I was welcome to email them my residency history in the suggested format by simply replying to their email!

I emailed them with my residency history and they said thanks for sending the residency history in this format. For anyone who did not see the instructions in the FAQ, I recommend emailing them with the correct format.

Do you mind posting a link to where this information is. I've spent the last 5 minutes trying to find it. The FAQ page I found does not address this

Also heard nothing, interview 9/14. Trying to stay hopeful that they will do a first wave of A's very soon if not today.
Also interviewed on 9/14. It looks like they sent out acceptances on 10/15 last year so I'm hopeful that we could hear back today. The admissions office day is almost over there though 🙁

submitted secondary 9/5 and still haven't heard anything... anyone else in this same situation?

My mom: have you heard from UVM yet?

Do you mind posting their FAQ link, I can seem to find it on their website, or is it within the secondary application? Thanks

It's not in the general FAQ. The residency history advice is in the secondary application (welcome tab --> FAQ). Here's a screenshot below.
