Also any idea when I might hear from someone regarding anything?
So it's hard to say without knowing your whole application but I'd say your stats should be solid enough for an interview!

I can't remember if I asked this but are there any other MD/PhD applicants on this form? I'm confused whats going on with this process at this school. Hmu

Hey everyone, I hope you're all hanging in there during this crazy time! I'm A current M1 at Wayne, feel free to ask me any questions 🙂

Do most students live together or around the same area or are they spread out in Midtown? Also how many mandatory sessions are there each week and do you like the changes to the new curriculum? Lastly, but not as important, any idea about AOA selection, given the changes to Step 1 I'm sure it would definitely help for residency programs.

Hey guys, hope you're all hanging in there! I'm nervous, but I think it's a good sign that no one has received a waitlist/R email as of yet, so it might indicate that they're doing things a bit differently (especially since more people got interviewed than in past years)!
I think we need to make a support group...

Any Canadian students get interviews yet? Getting soooo worried bc this is my first choice.

If it's still silent tmr, do you guys think calling or emailing the office tomorrow and asking if they plan on releasing more decisions this week would be a bad idea? Not sure if it would show interest or just show desperation LOLL

I wouldn’t say anything unless it’s been 4+ weeks since you interviewed. After that then sure because they say you should get a decision in 4 weeks

So far it seems like most people who reported As here are IS... maybe there's a correlation there haha ... maybe they'll move to OOS? This is just speculation though

So most students are spread around Midtown however, I know there are a few buildings where more students live. A few months before classes, our class made an excel sheet for students to find roommates and housing so that was a good way to find other med students to live with if you are interested in that.

Mandatory sessions will differ in number every week and depending on the unit. They are pretty minimal though, I know this week we only have 2 labs and then 2 required histology sessions. I'd say most weeks we don't have to be on campus more than 2 or 3 days. Our class never experienced the old curriculum, however, I love the curriculum we have now! We are systems based which makes the order of the things we learn super logical, and they do a good job of having experts in each field teach the lectures. We also have clinical skills sessions coinciding with the unit we are on which is helpful to tie everything together. I don't know too much about AOA selection beyond what's online, sorry!

I heard they were doing more this year because of covid. Like a few hundred more than normal possibly.

Ok this might sound stupid but this is my first time applying to America. Do American schools email your verifiers or phone them? In Canada, they usually email them. Thanks for the help!

The tracker was more than likely updated prematurely, if you look in last years thread the same thing happened! I predict a very large wave of A's and II's incoming, hang tight my friends you may hear back by the end of this week!!! 🙂
