Do you all think they will accept the October SJT since AAMC added new dates?? Debating sending the secondary back if they don't accept the new date

The issue is that by the time you get the score back it will be late into the cycle

You should email admissions and ask if they will accept the October date. Also ask if they can begin reviewing your file without the score (so you can submit everything else in the meantime).

Can anyone who interviewed already remind me what email we send thank you letters to please?

Hey! I am in my gap year now and scored a 499 on my MCAT. I was on 3 executive boards in college, did 3 research internships, served as a peer mentor on my college campus, and helped with covid-19 vaccinations for 6 months. What are my chances of landing an interview? My cgpa is 3.73 and sgpa is 3.63. I am also an in-state aa male.
Have you taken the MCAT more than once and what were the scores if you did? Are you planning to take it again in near future?

I suggest posting in the WAMC forum. They can help you evaluate your credentials and craft a school list.

Anyone know how long before the interview we get the link? Starting to get nervous I won’t have it in time!

I got mine 4 days before my scheduled interview. I noticed up thread you said you didn't get the interview confirmation email? The itinerary? That is the email that contains the link.

Good to know! Yeah I didn’t get that confirmation e-mail…I’ll reach out in a day or so if I don’t see anything come up. Thanks!

to those that have interviewed already, how did it go? any advice?

I believe those numbers aren’t released. MSAR can tell you about # of interviews granted —> # matriculated, but not # accepted.

I do know that they usually have a lot of waitlist movement. Now go rock that interview!

This is my first interview, would anyone be interested in doing interview prep and mock interviews?

I can definitely help! Hit me up if you’d like one. I felt that doing a bunch of mock interviews with different people helped my actual interview go really smoothly.

I had my interview yesterday, and I absolutely adored my 2 interviewers! Both were very kind and candid during our discussion. I will say there were multiple questions they both asked, so I repeated myself a few times! Other than that, I feel like they really just want to get to know you and see if your values align with the mission.

Would you recommend any way to prepare? From what im hearing, the interviews are very laid back, however I still wish to prepare to maximize my chances

Know what is in your application and how you can support the school in its mission. Prepare answers for standard interview questions too like why medicine and the like.

I agree! Pretty standard questions. Know the mission and know why you applied to the school. Nothing out of the ordinary and no ethic type of questions! The hour flew by so fast since it was very casual and more conversation like. 🙂

Does anyone know if they accept email updates?
they do! I believe all updates should be sent to the admissions email. They love when students let them know that they’re still interested in their program

Edit: [in case this is seen first] someone commented below and said no pre-II updates

For those of you who interviewed earlier on- have you sent update letters? I know we won't hear back until late fall, so I'm wondering if there's anything I should be doing in the interim. Thanks!
