Out of curiosity, can those who had the tab share what specialities they applied for? I hope they are still debating about the speciality I applied for 😭😭

I understand that this is really distressing for you because you didn't get a tab, but I really don't think this correlates with a future decision. I refuse to believe it bc so many of us had it on here

Whoever gets an acceptance - let us know if you were one of the folks who saw a letter in their portal
 
y'all... this is freaking awful. I knew from the start that this definitely was a mistake, but a tiny part of me held onto the fact that this really was an acceptance. with yesterday's nonsense webinar with no transparency to today's shenanigans, I'm feeling so spent. Like we're just being played with and that our feelings don't matter. And the fact that they haven't said anything to us yet about what happened. Like. what are we supposed to do with this? I don't mean to be negative but this school is being so freaking inconsiderate. I know that earlier, the adcom made similar mistakes by waitlisting people that should not have been waitlisted, and putting some poor soul on hold who had already received a post interview R. Like... come on. Acknowledge your mistakes and do better. And tell us what tf is going on.
 
I guess our only way of knowing if its a true mistake/glitch is if someone who didn't make the post interview cut got the tab? As in not in the final or top pool (seems like there likely isn't a difference between final pool and top pool anyway)
 
They should just call us tomorrow to confirm acceptances. No reason to wait until next week now!

The first round of As go out next Tues/Wed. Idk about how the waitlist works cos they didn't tell us

I think only 6 or 7 saw the tab, which seems high but plausible for the total of 24? I'm resigning myself to waitlist if anything, but I had already pretty much done that since there are only two seats for my specialty lol

I think it is too high as well. No way a quarter of us are on SDN

Just wish there was some accountability. Just be honest with us. If it's a mistake, say it is so we can have some peace. If it isn't, say it is so we can have some peace. Either way... just SAY something

I agree! But I totally understand if all that saw them don't want to get too excited till it's real haha

I really want to think this, but we also were not allowed to respond to the offer on the portal. Also, there were several typos/mistakes in the offer letter.
 
Grasping at straws here, but got the top pool email, had the tab, and applied for surgery. Any other people with the tab apply for surgery? They said they only accept 24 at a time and only 2 surgery spots, so if more than 1 other we know for sure it won't necessarily correlate with acceptance. :nailbiting:

OBGYN here. If we see three surgeons or three obstetricians... we know it was 100% a mistake
 
I'm trying to stay hopeful but we really won't know anything until they officially say anything. Hard not to speculate but lets wait until they become "fully transparent" and update us 🤣

Had my name on it. But the name could have easily been generated via the portal.

“Final consideration” email, had the tab, applied surgery.
 
I was at work and did not get to check! So there is no tab anymore?
