Interviewed on 11/10 and haven't heard anything yet.

How long did earlier interviewees wait till they got their cut emails?
I got mine exactly 6 weeks after my interview. During my interview, they told us we'd hear back 4-6 weeks after our interview date. Given, that was September so maybe things have changed by now. Sending you good vibes though. Waiting is so hard.

I interviewed two weeks before you and heard about two weeks ago. I wouldn't be surprised if the holidays delay it a bit though!

I believe the school accepts update letters if you have been interviewed and made that first post-II cut. The email I received says to submit an update to the other documents tab on the secondary portal.
Where did y'all see this? Did you get this in the email that said you made the first post-II cut? I don't remember them saying anything regarding this on my interview day or in any of my post-interview correspondences they sent out.

yep, it was in the post II email telling me I made the cut into the top pool of applicants for final consideration. on my interview day, the dean also said they appreciate continued interest as well

+1 can confirm that the final pool email says that updates are allowed. Not sure if this is specifically directed to people who are in the final pool.

How many students are accepted this year?
No clue. I have a feeling they can't admit much more than 24 students given the strict quotas on each specialty. I am sure that there will be some type of waitlist from which they will pull heavily.

Did anyone who was placed on hold hear back from the admissions office yet?

Got the "final pool of applicants" email. Does anyone know what kind of odds we are looking at here? Interviewed 11/04.

I personally don't think that they've cut their interview pool down by a lot, given how many people have reported making the cut on this thread. I frankly have no clue how they choose 2-14 people per specialty from potentially hundreds of people in the final pool. Sorry that this isn't super reassuring news 🙁

+1. Interviewed 11/12. Probably from an 8% chance of getting in to a 20% chance? Who knows. I think the most you can read into this decision is that your interviewing skills are solid.

So if we didn’t hear anything today does that mean we’re rejected? They said we should hear back in 4-6 weeks and I interviewed 11/10

Those who are not a part of the final pool reported receiving an email telling them this, so if you haven't heard anything, I don't think a decision has been rendered. Maybe they are taking more time because of the Thanksgiving holiday. I know the wait feels awful so I am sending you strength. I personally thought I was done for but I got an email saying that I made the final pool on the final day of the six week period... manifesting this for you.

On okay got it so they do update. Thank you so much for the clarification 🙂

II received yesterday! Scheduled for Jan 7th interview. IS LM72.

I never received this "final pool of applicants" email. Can someone fill me in?
Congrats! The "final pool of applicants" email is a post-interview communication

Thank you! Very excited. If anyone has any insight into MMI I would appreciate it - happy new year to you all
Congrats on the interview! We cannot disclose the details of the MMI cos we signed an NDA basically haha. But I can assure you that the experience is a lot less stressful than you imagine, including the group activity. I definitely had a positive experience overall, so just go in ready to be yourself.

I see! That makes sense. I look forward to navigating through the experience. Thanks! Good luck to you.

The MMI itself was pretty standard and all the interviewers were very engaging and kind. The group activity was the most chill one I've ever been in - some schools have group activities that are discussions or similar activities that can feel stressful but it was very chill.

Wanted to hop in and say this school was my first MMI interview of the cycle, and I felt it went pretty well! All the faculty/interviewers were kind and put me at ease.

Did not receive an invite to the meet the students session. Emailed the ADCOM. Not sure what to do. Have an interview this Friday.

Damn they are still interviewing? This applicant pool is big 😆

Congrats on the interview

Thanks! I actually interviewed back in September haha but I know they are doing interviews until January from their website.

Hi friends, a lot of us have been wondering what the post-II procedure looks like here if we're still being considered. because I am bored over winter break, I decided to bite the bullet and look at past years' SDN threads for this school sad news: the post-II acceptance rate has been reported to be 5%. Apparently there are fewer interviews going out this cycle than usual, but it's still not looking too hot. neutral news: last year, interviewed applicants got an email in Jan (I think) about how many interviews have gone out and all those relevant stats, so maybe we'll get an update before our mid-February day of (hopeful) delight. Another piece of neutral news: last year, very few post-II Rs were reported later in the cycle. Happy news: acceptances went out in batches, and WL movement did take place. It seems that the exact number of seats per residency are given out as As, and then in the first few days post A, more people are accepted as others decline their spot. Then the waitlist went out. IDK how much of this info will apply this year bc of last year's cycle being affected by COVID. anyways. I know this cycle has been really stressful, esp for this school.

Also another update—I just checked their Twitter, and it seems last Friday was the last interview day of the cycle so it seems they are ending much earlier than last year (although last year could have been delayed)!

Yes! Last year was 100% delayed, they gave out the first round of decisions in mid-March, while they told us we'd hear back in mid-Feb. at least there is only one month left of this

also I feel like you see me sussing on all these threads. sorry that you have to put up with my BS premed0325.

Haha only cuz you have really helpful posts!! I appreciate them 😊

it honestly feels pure luck at this point tbh. if someone told me to pick 24 students from over 500, i have a very strong feeling that the 24 i picked would change very drastically from one batch to the next. This school has one of the, if not the lowest, post interview A rates. Feels like a disservice to students to offer so many interviews and it makes me question the replicability of their process.

Yeah, I really have no clue how you can pick 24 students from such a large pool. Especially for the smaller specialties (obgyn gang rise up) like how do you pick 2 people from a group of 100? Just gotta hope that everyone who gets accepted first has amazing full tuition scholarship offers at other schools and opens up our seats lmao

Has anyone caught the R post-II?
Some people did report these earlier in the thread! As widely discussed, no idea how many (and this is the first year of the 'final pool'). I'd say R reporting is generally lower than positive news reporting though. Hoping for an update email soon like beepbeep mentioned!
