Do you know if it was portal change meaning the status changed (like rn), or portal change meaning the portal changed to a decision?
So from last years thread the first portal change was when an extra space/line appeared in the status and then the portal went down and then decisions came out but I'm not sure.

but from previous threads, it seems like portal changes happen before they release decisions. Someone else curated this list of times and days from the past few years:
2016-2017
First reported Portal change 1/27 12:41PM First reported Decision 1/30 4:25PM

2017-2018
Portal change 1/25 3:48PM Decision 1/30 8:26AM

2018-2019
Portal change 1/24 9:14AM Decision 1/25 9:45AM

2019-2020
Portal change 1/24 9:44AM Decision 1/29 1:44PM
Does this suggest they may release the decisions as early as tomorrow or the first couple of days next week?

This whole thread right now:

My portal is working fine 🥲🥲
Okay good to hear I’m glad it’s not a widespread thing!! To the other post I interviewed mid-December, I don’t think it means anything honestly I just posted bc I wasn’t sure if this was the case for others. Also I TANKED this interview so if it means anything it’s not good lmao

A while back someone said the decision could be release before the 31st. Is there a chance it could be as early as next week? Thoughts?

Yes, historically they seem to be a couple days earlier than the official date. That's also where the 21st is being thrown around -- I believe 1 or 3 people said earlier in the thread that they heard 21st from admission at an interview later in the cycle.

Did we always have 4 sub-tabs available on the "admissions data forms" tab?

Don't recall if they were there but all say only available for admitted students

Those tabs have been there for me since the beginning

So is Pitt not releasing decisions today? Just wondering how much I should refresh my portal lol

Do we know if they give out all types of decisions on the same day (A, WL, R) or is it just A's on that first day?

looks like they're not coming out today haha. next week will be real rough..

They give all decisions at the same time, some years they haven't given Rs based on these threads but they did last year

I'm not sure if this is tied to decisions, but on the login page for the portal, there is a notification stating that it will be down on January 27th from 7:30am to 8:00am. Do any of y'all see this too?

Where in the portal did you see that?

Looks like that for me too

I'm pretty sure this is regular maintenance not associated with decisions. From previous years it looks like the portal shutdown is longer than a half hour and I also don't think they would be coming in at 7:30 AM to do it. Could be wrong tho

Ok kicking off the conspiracies after accidentally hitting the withdraw tab:

I got a call from a random number that hung up after like 2 rings, i googled it and the top result was the faculty profile page for one of the internal medicine faculty members. The number was not their number though, and i have no idea why that page came up because the number was not listed anywhere on it

I mean you know google does track your search history which is why your results are always kinda tailored to pages you have visited in the past. I think that page being the first result is more just because the "first" result says there are not a lot of matches for your search combined with the fact you have probably been on a lot of PittMed web pages.

Edit: I would be curious to see your results if you looked up the number in an incognito tab because that is not influenced by past searches (i think?)

Still there in an incognito tab, more than likely just a weird sequence of numbers somewhere in the actual web page code that one of the Google crawlers found and archived

did anyone have the "admission data forms" tab pop up on their portal, yet when clicking on it it says "This page is only available for the admitted students"
