Have I just been ghosted? I was complete 7/29. I’ve only heard back from one of my schools
Do they typically do rejections? I don’t know but it seems like they’ve been giving out interviews but just not shown in this sub considering people’s interview dates are all the way to nov?

Nope. Was rejected late March in a previous cycle. Complete early July

It's still early in the cycle, don't worry yet. I would start preparing for a re-app if you don't hear anything/get an acceptance by late January/early February, but even then it's still very possible to get an interview until March/April. I even know 2 people who got their first and only acceptances in June/July (off the waitlist, but still). Jeff extends interviews until April. Also, complete date doesn't necessarily determine when/if you'll be given an interview. So even if people who were complete after you have gotten interviews, you can still receive one too.

I'm pretty sure Jeff doesn't do rejections until March/April.

Oh wow, do they accept updates?

Pretty sure we do! I'm not entirely sure where to send them but likely the admissions contact email.

Hi all,

Is it true that Jeff averages multiple MCAT attempts?

Does this school ghost? I haven’t been out on hold or rejected but I haven’t heard anything yet and was complete end of July 😅

Wow, well I guess I can forget about getting an II here then. Wouldn't have even applied had I known that's what they think.
hopefully they follow what they say and do look at an applicant holistically.. but that definitely was a turn off for me

Just received a decision of being placed on a "High Priority" category waitlist. Pretty sad about this as SKMC was my top choice. Anyone have any knowledge on if this category actually means anything? Or is this just a nice way of saying you are traditionally waitlisted?
+1

If it is your top choice, make it your top choice. Jefferson loves students who show enthusiasm during their interviews and post. I went to the virtual open house and they accept letters of intent. I know students who got off the high-priority waitlist by doing that.

Sorry to be that person, but when did you guys interview if you're comfortable sharing?

No acceptance calls today? 😅 Gaaah I've been glued to my phone

A couple people have asked this but whats the best way to send updates to SKMC? I could always blindly email it but this is the only information I've seen from their website

"to maintain the integrity of the admissions process at SKMC, all communications concerning your application, including the interview, should be forwarded to the Dean of Admissions."
and
"Changes to your application can only be submitted in writing. No online changes can occur."

Should i hand write in my update? I just started a new research position and want to know the best way to update. Thanks!

hahaha, definitely don't handwrite it. I don't think the "writing" there is meant to be taken literally.

hi guys. i apologize if this was already answered:
i heard that the dean of admissions, Dr. Callahan, in previous cycles liked to receive update emails directly via email. i heard through the grapevine that she retired last year. on the SKMC website FAQ page, it DOES say:

To maintain the integrity of the admissions process at SKMC, all communications concerning your application, including the interview, should be forwarded to the Dean of Admissions.

so, does anyone know which email is the dean of admissions?

thanks in advance

Just ran into this - I was told to direct all communications to either Alisa LoSasso, Senior Dean of Admissions ([email protected]) or Bonnie Emilius, Director of Admissions ([email protected]). Good luck!!

Hopefully I'll join you peeps after my interview in December lol seems so long away.
