2021-2022 Wayne State

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Actually, looked at 2021 class size (last cycle) and the class is 305 total.

And as you said, a number of those who have been accepted will decline. I think we’ll probably see a fair number of A’s still.
Again isn't it common practice to give As well over the class size as most will decline by the CTE?

Current M2 at WSUSOM, feel free to reach out with any questions!
is wayne done interviewing for the cycle? this cycle seems very different compared to last cycle with IIs and I was wondering how this would affect their OOS/Canadian/International applicants who are encouraged to apply by December? I would really appreciate your insight. Thank you!

Do you guys think I can email to ask why I was rejected or get feedback? I thought my interview went really well 🥺😞

They are definitely not done interviewing! I know things may be a little out of the ordinary with this cycle (and the last) with the pandemic, but they typically extend interviews into at least Jan.

Just for reference- I received my interview invite at the end of Nov and interviewed early Dec a few years back. I received my acceptance about 1.5 weeks after my interview, right before the holidays began.

If you haven't submitted your application yet, I would get that in ASAP. Wayne participates in rolling admissions.

Hey, they mentioned at the end of my interview that they do give feedback. I suggest you email admissions, hope you get good news soon from your other schools!

I'll add to it.

I'm a fan of Shangri-La for their more authentic Chinese dishes, sushi, and dim sum dishes. Slightly further away from the Medical School (near the main campus's athletics complex) is Pie Sci pizza, which has some really creative pizza flavors (just don't get the falafel pizza before clinical skills).
Harmony Garden has good Middle Eastern food, and Ima for ramen/udon/don buri.

Man…now I’m hungry again /:

Has anyone received the acceptance packet in the mail yet? It's been almost 4 weeks for me

I'm OOR who submitted their secondary 2.5 months ago. Do you think it is safe to assume a R at this point? I'm trying to stay optimistic lol

These posts are giving me life, I’m interviewing in a week and a half and I know the waitlist isn’t the end if I’m not accepted outright!

Interviewed 9/15, radio silence since! Crazy to think some of you have been on/off the wait list. Congrats to all

Is this school still interviewing? Submitted my app a bit late. Thank you!

I believe they still are! Last year there were a few from what I saw that went into January and whatnot. Idk beyond that

Sending IIs I don’t know but my interview is at the end of the month so interviewing, I sure hope so

You guys know if Wayne is still offering interviews? I applied with a 3.9/510 am IS and am ORM and have been meet with silence since my secondary (I applied ASAP)?

There was no deposit we had to pay right? I’m just like.. trying to be extra sure 😅 congrats to everyone!!

is it too late to submit a secondary?
maybe email admissions directly! For international/Canadian students they have later deadlines (so you can still submit a secondary), but it also really depends on if they're still interviewing

is it too late to submit a secondary?
I don’t think so. I have been getting a bunch of mailings and emails from the school in the past few weeks encouraging me to apply. Also they are having an open house in November 30th so I would honestly submit and just see what happens.
