How long after the interview did y’all receive the “app under consideration before committee” email? I just interviewed so I’m not expecting anything on 10/17 but I’m curious on when that email comes

Just found out I got placed at the Indianapolis campus! (ED applicant.) Has anyone else heard campus selection? I didn’t think it was released until May 😳

It’s released in May for RD applicants. I think ED applicants have always found out this early, one of the perks of going that route I guess!

Received an interview invite about a month ago, still no date... Deans eval, prereqs, and LORs are still not marked completed. How long did it take you guys?

deans eval was marked complete for me a few days after my dean sent it from their side. Prereqs, cant remember when, but after I got my date.

LOR still not marked complete for me (still havent done interview btw). Although pretty sure I meet the LOR requirements.

No, some of my LORs were marked incomplete when I got my date. They just send out the II email somewhat prematurely. Everything has been pretty chronological in terms of when you get the initial email and when you actually get scheduled. I know it sucks to wait for things like these :/

For Indiana, you’re only required to show up to the check in session 45 minutes before your interview, then (obviously) to your interview, which lasts for 40 minutes. The financial aid presentation and student panel are not required for you to attend

Last year they sent out decisions for the first two interview dates during the first wave, so for this year that would be 8/31 and 9/7

Do we think the portal might update tomorrow though? Even if we don't get the actual letter right away?

It was mailed to my permanent address. So my parents actually ended up being the ones receive it and to open it

Nothing for me either lol. Last year they were released on the 18th (which is a Monday) so yeah it's pretty weird that we haven't heard anything yet. Maybe tomorrow?

My guess would be the August and September dates? I'm not positive though, that just seems to be the trend

You basically wait for the portal update. It was a few days until they opened up campus preferences. They will send an email once those open up. Other than that you really just need to accept the offer through the portal and send back the physical paper where you accept the offer as well.

I didn’t see any info on group me yet.
The portal update has a ton of info on next steps though.

Based on previous threads, it seems like A’s should start coming in the mail between Wed and Friday this week. It seems like they mail them on the 15th (or the 17th this year). So I’m not expecting anything today, although that would be a happy surprise.

Last year they sent emails on the 20th, and not the 15th even though the 15th was a Friday last year. But IU does what it wants to apparently, so who really knows lol

I called the office sometime last week and they did confirm that decisions are sent via postal service not email. Although idk if maybe they do a email after so much time in case the mail is delayed or something.
