For the interview confirmation form, how did you guys send it? I sent it using my email directly but haven't received any confirmation. Did you guys email it directly, email it through the portal, or upload it to the portal? Want to make sure I don't mess this up lol
I sent it via email and didn’t receive a confirmation email either, so you should be fine.

i think you're supposed to do it through the portal. I sent mine through the portal

I received the physical letter 2 days before any sort of email or portal update.
Never received an actual phone call or acceptance email.

My ED letter came in the mail yesterday, two days later than everyone else. Caused me a bit of stress.
You guys are stressing me out, now I need to check my physical mailbox too lol??

Does anyone have any advice on whether or not I should/can indicate my intent to apply to a certain locations scholarly concentration before they choose our campus placements? I really want to do a certain SCP but I am worried about the possibility of not getting placed in that location before I have the opportunity to apply.

Does anyone know if IU discourages updates to an application that adds additional activities? If they don't where should I reach out about it?

I uploaded it through the portal and they emailed me saying I missed the deadline so I had to email them the form separately. I'm sure it was just a one off issue but just wanted to share in case it happens to someone else.

Thats pretty good. from that sdn page i was expecting like 3 personal questions and the rest ethical scenarios🤣

Thank you so much!!
It may depend on who your interviewer is, but mine seemed to be more focused on personal questions!

Mine had a tonnnn of ethical questions which was interesting especially after doing well on CASPer. Definitely prepare well for ethical questions that may come up!!
Interesting. So it’s sort of like MMI type questions without the structure of MMI? And did you have a panel interview or was everything 1:1? Thank you!

I had minimal ethical questions but I also interviewed for the rural program which was pretty focused on that. I also had 5 interviewers which sounds intimidating but I ended up liking it because there were more people to bounce the conversation around.

I had like 2 or 3 ethical questions and two interviewers. Overall, I really liked my interview experience! The interviewers were really nice, which helped me relax and have a good convo.

My interviewer zeroed in on a couple parts of my application and asked two really softball ethical questions at the very end “because it was required.” Really didn’t feel like too much of an interview, definitely liked it.

My interviewers felt like they were 100% reading a script of required questions the entire time. As soon as I finished my answer to the previous question they were already asking me the next one. I would say 1/2 ethical 1/2 personal questions.

Felt really good on my responses and how I performed, however with the vibes they were giving me it is hard to tell.

My interview went like this too. I only had two ethical questions come up in mine.

Hi! I received an email today recognizing my app as a potential applicant for the Urban Medicine program (UMP). Does anyone have any more details about the meaning of this email? I am extremely interested in the program, but I was wondering if they send this to a lot of people and if anyone knew how long the statement of purpose should be?

It means an II is in the future. Go ahead and write a few sentences to express your interest and you'll get an invite soon. At least it is what happened to me!

yep...same thing happened to me. They send you an email saying you'd be a great candidate for the UMP or the rural program. You pick one of them to apply to and write a couple of sentences. Then, they send you an interview invite. They also say that if you don't get admitted to the rural program or the UMP, you are still in consideration for the regular admission

Because the 15th is on a Saturday this month, do we think they may send A's on Friday or Monday?
Wondering the same thing, but if they are sending letters via mail even if they send them on Friday we prob won’t get them til Monday. I’m not counting on any time this week, most likely sometime the following. (I did download USPS informed delivery tho so I can see what comes to my house while I’m at work 😂)

Sounds great thank you!! How long after you sent your statement of interest did you hear back for an interview?

Any other August II still waiting for an interview date?? All my stuff has been checked off for a while… thinking about contacting admissions soon

I thought it was bad for me as a September II person, but damn...we got August people still waiting?

How long after the interview did y’all receive the “app under consideration before committee” email? I just interviewed so I’m not expecting anything on 10/17 but I’m curious on when that email comes
