2022-2023 Jefferson (Kimmel)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I interviewed first day and thought it went really well... no word back today 🙁
Congrats to my fellow interviewees tho, everyone I met def deserves that A
+1, I read on a prior year post that no news = good news, that Jefferson is really quick to send out a WL email. This could mean that the faculty interviewer hasn't been able to make it to a decision meeting, or they are still considering the applicant for admission. I will keep my fingers crossed for good news for both of us soon!

How do you send updates? I don't see a document upload tab on the portal (have not received an interview invite yet)

Just received the email for High Priority Waitlist. Honestly, not too bummed! I thought I would receive the standard waitlist or a rejection (I had a rough interview experience compared to my other interviews.) This list just means I may have to wait longer for an acceptance from SKMC, but its not impossible! Good luck to everyone 🙂

HPWL today after interviewing last week. I know I'm supposed to be happy, but when you know that they waitlist 370 people, it feels pretty defeating.
I think they have two waitlists. The high priority waitlist and then a standard waitlist. Really thought everyone who interviewed early was going to get accepted since they have a high post II rate

No one notices either way, to be honest. Most students didn’t mask my day, but there were also at least five who did.
I will add that depending on where your faculty interview was (mine was in a clinic), they may have required masking rules. I thankfully had a few extra masks, and I was able to give one to another applicant. I didn't wear a mask on interview day until I had this interview.

During my interview day people were mostly unmasked. My faculty interview was in the hospital, so I masked up until inside her office, then she told me I could unmask.

Can I just say how much I absolutely LOVE this school and the vibe? I was so glad to be able to go to this interview in person to really experience the full effect of SKMC and Philly as well as get to know possible future classmates.

I felt the same way. I didn’t think I’d like Jeff as much as I did and now its going to be hard deciding between them and my original top choice that I was accepted to!

Anything you did that you think led you to the A? I’m interviewing soon!

To me the interview felt a lot like a test to make sure I would be a good colleague. My interviewer basically ignored my resume and we spent most of the time talking about my home city and our favorite vacation spots. Just be relaxed and have a nice conversation.

How to do send an update to Jefferson? (don't have interview invite and can't find the document upload tab)

Via email. I got confirmation from the admissions office that this is what they prefer.

First interview invite of the cycle! This year's been challenging, which makes this all the more energizing and rewarding 🙂 Kimmel's honestly a dream school. gl to all :3
congrats! when were you complete?

Did you ever find out how to submit an update? I also cannot find the document tab

Just joined SDN today and thought I would contribute since I read everybody else's posts. I submitted my secondary on Sept. 26th and received an interview invitation on Oct. 11. The only dates to interview were Jan. and beginning of Feb., so I chose the 11th and they only interview a once or twice a week (same day/s). I am OOS, but I applied for the PSAP and they offered the interview before the extra PSAP LOR were sent.
Stats: BCPM 3.76, Total 3.84, MCAT 510

If anyone is interviewing on Jan 11th, let me know and we can be nervous/excited together, lol.

Hey, same date here !

Does anyone know what day of the week the admissions committee meets and/or what day of the week they usually release acceptances?
