I emailed asking about a waitlist for cancellations and was told that I will be put on their radar for it. I would just send them an email about it! So far my interview is still the same though so unsure yet if it made a difference.

Guess it depends on what anatomy lab group you're in then ;( I've only had anatomy lab on Friday like once. But anatomy lab isn't mandatory anyway.

Mandatory HSS is rare - only like once (maybe twice) per block. And it's not usually on Fridays. Are you a first year? Maybe they changed the schedule for your class but I've only had mandatory HSS on Friday like twice in 2 years.

Imo the biggest thing stopping the person I was responding to from continuing their extracurricular on Friday is doing well enough on the quizzes to drop more than 1. But it's definitely doable.
 
Revisiting to gush about how amazing this school/interview day was. It was evident that students were put in actual positions of leadership, which spoke to how much the school respects them. Dean of admissions said waitlist is unranked & influenced in part by demonstration of interest, in case any still waiting for later IIs are wondering. Good luck to all!

p.s. lunch definitely lived up to the hype ^_^

Current Jefferson students, do you think there are classes/work that eat up some of your time? In other words, is there a bunch of "busy work"?Also, does Jefferson make you learn information on in-house exams that are not on the boards?

It was by far the best interview experience I had. Everyone was extremely positive and energetic. I felt that the day was extremely informative and the interview was very friendly. I cannot rave enough about this experience. Please private message me if you have any other questions, I am more than happy to answer.

Dw about it! I emailed the admission office a while ago to check for the pre-req expiration criteria and the lady that answered my email/phone call was super rude to me as well even though her grammar and explanation made 0 sense 🥲. If I got accepted even with written proof that I annoyed the administrative staff, you'll be fine haha!
 
How do you send updates to Sidney Kimmel? They do not seem to have a tab on their secondary
 
I submitted an update earlier in November and it is still not in my portal, should I be concerned/ reach out to the admissions office? I did receive a response when I submitted.

I would maybe reach out because I did send one in November too and it was very quickly reflected in my portal!

Definitely reach out to them if it’s been some time since you submitted the update. It took about a day for my portal to reflect the addition of my update, so it seems unusual that there has been a delay on their end to reflect the addition of your update
 
Do update letters appear as email received notifications on the portal or should I be able to see my letter on the portal?

What is the format of the interview? I can't seem to find it, but I thought it was a one on one?
 
Some good news, my director at Jefferson's Center for Autism and Neurodiversity is writing a letter of recommendation, and is mentioning that I was invited to become a consultant after being recommended by both the director of my emergency department and the director of my previous autism center. They're the one who spearheaded the autism scholar to medical student partnership program between my alma mater and SKMC. I'm hoping this reinvigorates my application to the committee.

EDIT: my ED director also asked our marketing team to write an article on me
