Alternate list :/. I interviewed 3/3. Does anybody know what the likelihood of getting off it is or if they’re pulling people off the alternate list already?
Same.

Any accepted students recently get transferred to Knoxville? If so, when did you declare your preference? Trying to gauge if i’ll have any luck getting transferred 🙂
Interviewed in January, accepted February, just recently transferred myself to Knoxville!

It sounds like if they have a spot open up because someone declined their admission it goes to the waitlist but i could have misunderstood the email

I have a few questions for anybody who might know. What is the cap for seats in Knoxville and Harrogate and does anybody know how many people have been admitted already? Also, is March 10th, 17th and April 14th the last of the interview dates?

Waitlisted, now on 3 waitlists🙁. Not sure if I should hold onto hope or prepare myself for another cycle.
I feel you still have a shot! Just continue showing your interest in those 3 programs. I am sure you will get in one of them!!!

How can I show continued interest? Sorry I didn’t have a ton of guidance when applying so I feel a little lost about where to go from here.

I am not an expert whatsoever. This is also my first application cycle and still have not received an acceptance, since the only II I got was from LMU-DCOM. I interviewed in March, 10th. However, I feel you need to continue showing them your interest by emailing the admissions office. Perhaps comment very briefly in your email something you love specific to their medical program. I would definitely be checking up on them periodically.

Do yourself a favor. Get on chat GTP and have it write you “a professional email to notify a medical school that you are still interested in attending their school.” It’ll give you a perfect letter of intent in like 10 seconds. Edit it and personalize it a little and you’re good to go.

Anyone know how likely it is to get moved from harrogate campus to Knoxville at this point?

A! IM GOING TO BE A DOCTOR! FINALLY!
Interviewed 3/3. OOS, 501 MCAT, 3.8 GPA
Congrats!!! What a journey and what a huge satisfaction to finally hear that acceptance. I cannot wait to say the same!!!!

Does anyone know if you can leverage other A's into either decreased tuition or scholarships here or if anyone else has done so in the past? I do like the school and can see myself attending but why are schools so pricey 💀

I know this works for MD schools, not so sure it does for DO however

I’m curious about that too. I would love to save a few thousand annually in tuition to pay for rent and other necessities haha

Yeah honestly my stats aren’t what I think got me the II. Like you guys all said it was probably more mission fit and personal statement writing. I am hesitant somewhat abt LMU but think I’ll still see the interview through because I’m still very interested. My only other A is at my state DO school that’s pretty much brand new so LMU has the edge of being established. Just comes down to if I rather being close to home and family but be at a new program, or move further away for more established curriculum. Any one know how much scholarship money they give most students?

The deadline for scholarship applications was in January, so I think those of us accepted afterwards are simply out of luck.

Has anybody been moved from Harrogate to Knoxville recently? If so, when we’re you accepted?

~250 Harrogate
~150 Knoxville

So can someone explain a bit more about what the schools “format is”? I saw online it’s a two pass system for years 1&2. It’s not P/F? And what are the scholarships like here?
We get letter grades first/second year except for one class, FMHC which P/F. I’m not completely sure about rotations but they are essentially “easy” 100’s. Scholarships are available every January through the school for which eligible students can apply (have to have a 3.0 GPA, so I’ve never been eligible lol) and faculty regularly send us emails about external scholarships to apply for!

Hey, I am attending DCOM at the Harrogate campus this July. I would like to hear from any current students at this campus the best place to rent a home (KY, VA, TN). Each state has different living benefits and I would like to learn a little more before deciding on a home rental. Thanks!
I’m in Middlesboro because I’m 28 and needed health insurance. There were also more housing options. Students qualify for Medicaid in KY! The schools insurance is overpriced and not super great. Keep in mind that if you live in TN or VA it’s RURAL, so the electricity and internet aren’t super reliable. The joke is if it’s raining in harrogate, the lights are going out. You pay for your own trash removal. Annoying stuff like that. Middlesboro has the essentials like Walmart, McDonald’s, some new coffee shops to study at. Living elsewhere, you’ll have to drive 10+ minutes through the tunnel.

I was accepted 2/8, put on the Knoxville WL 2/10, and transferred to Knoxville 3/30
