2022-2023 Minnesota

WL e-mail from Duluth med, e-mail reads generic as if its for both schools. I interviewed at both and at expect a WL/R for both schools at this point. Congrats to everyone who got an A. Will update if TC sends me a WL/R as well.

interviewed early dec and they said we’d get decisions today. still havent heard anything. hoping to hear something today…

It seems like the last 2 years MN has been behind on admissions decisions. Im really hoping this new system of 2 big decision days fixes it.

Hoping this message allows you to breathe! I'm a current MS2 at UMN. Know that you WILL get an update--no matter your interview day. And, it may or may not come in order, but it will come. No update is not bad or good! Take a deep breath and know it will be okay! For extra hope, I want to share that I got into this school with a 503 MCAT. GPA was average too! Tbh, I got into 12 medical schools. Stats do not predict extraordinary drive, human compassion, or work ethic, and this is what the UMN looks for in its MD candidates! Good vibes your way!

really hoping they can let those of us know who were told we’d get decisions feb 15th by at least tomorrow. super anxious

agreed. leaning towards it being bad news that we didnt hear any news for us today which rly sucks. oh well, guess its time to run this whole thing back in may.

I hope you get that A!!!

So who wants to take one for the team and give the office a call to figure out what’s going on😂

Have any OOSers recieved the tuition waiver thus far? It looks like they give up to 15 scholarships, and only matriculate about 21 OOS students, so I'm crossing every finger and toe for that. I know some people heard about full tuition scholarships earlier this year, so just curious if anyone has heard on these, or if they wait for the packages that come out in April?

According to MSAR data from last year, 325 OOS got interviews and 52 matriculated, which means significantly more acceptances were sent out, probably around 100 if I had to guess.

does anyone know how long after the A until we hear about scholarships/ loan/ aid information?

hi friends! has anyone heard any updates on nov/dec interviewees that were told they'd get decisions on feb 15th but didn't? just wondering when to expect to hear back 🙂

I interviewed in Dec and didn’t hear anything. I emailed admissions and they said all remaining decisions will go out through May probably monthly. <//3

Oh sorry I was looking specifically at the twin cities campus site and didn’t factor in the med school overall! It had on their website TC had 12% of class of 175 as OOS, which is where I got that number. I wonder why there’s such a large difference between their site and MSAR, since they say there are only 14 OOS for Duluth? Funky.

MSAR has data for 2021, I would guess that their website may have more recent data for 2022 maybe? 🙂

12/2 interviewee who was WL’ed on Wed late afternoon (oos w/o ties)

Was a bit surprised since I thought my interview went well.

All the best everyone!
