how long does it take between interview and an admissions decision?
So they told me 4-6 weeks but looking at this thread and past ones I’ve seen anywhere from 2-7 weeks lmao. I’ve also heard last cycle someone who interviewed in March and got accepted 2 days later 😂

oh wow! have you already heard back?

How was the interview?!
Soooo chill. Only had like 3 real questions asked. Mostly just a conversation and went 20 minutes over cause we got along so well haha. Def the best interview I’ve had thus far

Hi, I encouraged a friend of mine to apply to RowanSOM since I had such a pleasant time during my interview, and I am really excited to join the class of 2023. However, they feel discouraged about applying to DO schools because of misinformation online about the OMM lab dress code and policies. They have had surgeries in the past and feel uncomfortable removing their top in front of others and exposing their surgical scars. I know there are some DO schools that accommodate students for a variety of reasons. I couldn't find any specific information about RowanSOM online, would you mind expanding a bit on the OMM dress code? I'd appreciate it.

Rowan SOM is actually one of the few DO schools that are VERY lenient on dress code… aka there really isn’t one. Like you can simply wear leggings and a full top if you want. I know many other DO schools have a dress code of sport shorts and a sports bra for females and shirtless for males. But thankfully not Rowan.

can you explain why they would need to be in sports bras or shirtless, what does it help with?

Anything I should do to prepare for the orientation session?

Same here! I got an invite 11/9 but still no dates. I emailed admissions and they said they have no update yet 🙁

Did you get a separate email about the orientation? I have my interview during the first week of December but haven't gotten any info about the orientation session yet!

Yep separate email! You can have your orientation before or after your interview, it’s not always before

For SOM students attending the Sewell campus, what do you recommend as the ideal location for housing given the need to collaborate with peers for PBL and to optimize study time? Would love to learn from your experiences........

Is there anything that needs to be done after the interview? Just wanna make sure I don’t miss a survey or something

I think a few of us on here got II's but are waiting for the actual dates to choose from to be sent out. Doubt they are done for the cycle! I have friends who got II's in March-May last cycle.

hope that’s the case! still waiting for an II hoping they aren’t done

I submitted my secondary about 2 weeks ago and I'm not still complete. Is this timeline normal, or should I contact admissions?

Mine took about 10 days after I submitted. I don’t recall how long they said it could take. If it were me I would wait another week before emailing them. Also don’t forget to consider one of those weeks was thanksgiving so that could be why it’s longer for you.

How is the orientation? Do you talk/dress professionally or is it causal?

got the A yesterday!! do any other accepted students know if anything needs to be done ASAP with this or if everything is 30 days?
