A part of me is worried that my inbox already filtered out/blocked UCSF's email which is why I'm not seeing anything....
Happened with another school so I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case 🙃

Then emails went to spam? How did you fix the issue?

Finally got a secondary! IS, lived in SF for the past decade. Verified 7/22 (and sent to UCSF).

Keep your heads up, no clue to the rhyme or reason of it all, but there is still time 🙂

Is it still worth it to apply to UCSF right now? I know they have a screening process and secondaries can take a long time to receive

I have pondered the stars, read the tea leaves, and seen the future. Interviews are coming.

winter is coming GIF

Received my secondary yesterday (verified 7/20). For the question asking about residency, should I list other countries that I lived in? It only mentions specific states, but I lived abroad for two years and don't know if I should list that country as well.

OOS secondary 9/14/2022, primary sent 7/20/2022. Sgpa 3.96, ogpa 3.9, 519 MCAT, finishing up engineering PhD so have a few pubs

is it even worth submitting my secondary here? I received it yesterday but with IIs already out do I even have a chance? (IS ORM)

I know a student at the school who sent his secondary in in October and got an interview in November. Yes, they are just really slow, it doesn't reflect your chances of getting in or not.

Dumb question but on the secondary, I'm seeing the options to apply to MSTP and MD/MSTP - do I need to select the latter to be considered for MD only if I end up not being further considered for MSTP?

Copied from their website:

"Can I apply to both the Medical School and MSTP at the same time?
Yes. In order to be considered for both the Medical School and MSTP separately, you must indicate both programs (MD/MSTP) on the UCSF MSTP secondary application. If you do not check the box for MD/MSTP and you are not accepted into the MSTP program, you will not be considered for the Medical School. At the same time, if you mark both programs, you may receive an offer from the Medical School before you hear from MSTP as they make admission decisions on a rolling basis. This does not mean that you are not being considered for MSTP. MSTP admission decisions are made in early March after we have completed our application reviews and interviews."

Do you guys think I can skip the activities update section? I covered it in my gap year essay mostly and just don’t feel like writing lol.
