I went to go find the link and found that I was looking at UTSW's MSTP, not general medical admissions, but for their MSTP matriculants:what are the minimums from last cycle?
"Most successful applicants will have an* MCAT of 515 or higher, a GPA of 3.8 or higher, and prior research experience. Some successful applicants with outstanding research experience have lower MCAT scores and/or GPAs. Admitted applicants' scores range between 506 and 527 for the MCAT, with a median of 519. The cumulative GPA of admitted students has ranged between 3.37 and 4.0, with an average of 3.8. Interviews are based on the competitiveness of the applicant pool. You should begin the application process at least one year prior to the desired matriculation."
I imagine this range is not too far off from their regular MD admissions data, however, as the class profile shows a 3.88/516 average. But remember, this could be a poor representation either way - it could be that the MSTP admissions process is more holistic and focuses more on research experience, or it could mean that their MCAT/GPA averages are even more competitive due to how few spots they have for MSTP students.
*It actually says "A MCAT" on the website, but I couldn't leave it like that in good faith.
