congrats! can i ask when you interviewed? hoping that all the people hearing back interviewed in sept and i will hear back soon ><
 
Will we hear either way today? Or will we be ghosted if waitlisted? I’m so anxious to hear rn. When will the rest of the As be sent out?
 
For those who got admitted, have they changed the portal to allow you to send your deposit in yet? I’m still on the usual tabs
 
The portal has historically had issues from what I've seen on past threads. i was able to pay my deposit right after I got the acceptance email under the Admission Decision tab. I would reach out to Admissions on Monday and let them know you can't pay your deposit if it doesn't show up by 5pm today.
 
I have not heard back yet and I don't think I will today. for those who are in the same boat as me, don't despair because at least it was not an R - we still have a chance!

For those who got an R: also don't despair! I am sure you will do well elsewhere and if not this year, there's always the next! life is a marathon, not a sprint

Agreed! Just got the A today after a September interview and being passed for the October acceptances 🙂

Were you put on hold after the September interview first? I know I am asking this a lot. I just don’t know whether to hold onto hope.
 
any december interviewees hear back today? i’m seeing a lot of earlier interviewees hear back - congrats y’all!
 
I wonder how many December interviewees got in. It seems like those who interviewed earlier got in. Hopefully we are high up on the list for February.
 
If I didn’t get accepted in December am I considered to be on the waitlist or does the waitlist get formed after March? What are my chances if I interviewed in December but didn’t get accepted December? Thanks for letting me be neurotic. I really want this school super bad. Good luck guys. And congrats to all who got in so far.

do they not accept updates pre-II? there's a spot on the portal to upload documents, and the website seems outdated When I interviewed, they told us we were allowed to send updates after this point for significant things that have happened since we submitted our primary. They were pretty clear...

Just to make sure, accepting the offer and paying the $100 doesn't mean I'm committing right? Sorry if that's a dumb question but I haven't encountered other acceptances that require a fee right away and it's making me nervous lol

Nope, it's not a commitment. Selecting "commit to enroll" once the choose your school tool opens up is the only thing binding. I have deposits down for a bunch of MD schools and fully expect to get them back before the end of April.

MD deposits are because AAMC has regulations. Unfortunately, AACOMAS has no limits or rules on what type of deposits (refundable vs non refundable). DO schools can get away with charging a huge non refundable deposit. Very predatory imo

The MD deposit I made was nonrefundable! It wasn’t ~that~ much but still. I will definitely be looking further into this lol
