would anyone who’s already interviewed be able to share their interview experience? were the interviewers chill or did they grill u? my interview’s this week and it’s the only in-person interview i have so it’d calm my nerves to know sort of what to expect haha

The whole day was very fun/chill. The first half of the day is basically dedicated to calming you down lol. Everyone gets interviewed by the med students at the same time and those are very quick and casual. We all chatted somewhere outside on my interview day, maybe for like 20 mins. My faculty interviewer was also insanely nice and asked zero stressful questions. It lasted around 40-45 mins, but went by fast because it was a great convo

I second everything about this comment. I had an amazing interview experience.

I third everything about this comment. We had a really fun group of interviewees

OOS II!! Super excited. Sent them an update letter and only available dates were in Feb
Hey if you don't mind me asking, what exactly is an update letter?? I have been seeing it everywhere, and is it only when you have something new to add to the application or can you just send a letter letting the school know you are interested....

Typically schools prefer you have something to add to your app. I wouldn’t personally do it if you don’t have something to add, schools can get annoyed by that. But that’s just me

is it better if the update letter is research or clinical volunteering related? I joined a community association and have been doing alot of great work in my neighborhood and definitely have enough content to write a letter about it. what do you guys think?

I would include everything new, new pubs and presentations in addition to new volunteering and clinical experiences, even big extracurricular activities like clubs or whatnot (run a marathon, write a book, etc.). Do a little research on formatting and make sure that any school you want to send one to accepts updates, because not every school does.
Where did you submit the update letter?
also wondering this for Jefferson

they accept updates sent via email and per their website: “all communications concerning your application, including the interview, should be emailed to: [email protected]. Please include "Attention: Committee on Admissions" in your email subject line. You may also call our offices directly: 215-955-6984.”!!

Got it! That's what I thought🙂

Anyone else hear anything back post-II?

They said they'd let us know in 1- 6 weeks and the nerves are setting in (its only been a week since my interview lmao)

Interviewed 10/18 and still haven’t heard.

Anyone here knows if they call accepeted folks on any day of the week or is it mostly Wednesdays?

Does anyone know if Jefferson already send out rejections??

Survived the R wave, complete mid-July.

Fully expecting it this week though.
if you are complete early july and wasn’t hit on this first pre-II r wave, does anyone know if this means you still have a good chance? Or have they given out most of the interview dates?
