Is your interview indicated in the portal? My portal emails are broken (had to work with IT to get the secondary) so I would like to know if I can just check the portal and know if it would show I got an II somewhere. Thanks!!
the email for the interview invite had a link youd click to access the interview scheduling page (i.e i dont remember logging into the portal) though im unsure if its unrelated to the portal. if anything happens just email/call them they're pretty quick and responsive

luckily for Mich you can. Log in, and you should get an Access Denied page. The second sentence of the text should look like this. Should be able to click that application portal text, click the View Form HTML button and view your submitted responses
First one on SDN with an IS II so far it seems...
They send IS after OS every year. Trying to get those high stat applicants to stat pad. Plus having an 80+ LM makes them high competitive at any program and Umich is gonna wanna lock them down early. They definitely deserve to be part of the first group.
They’ve sent out 127 interviews so far (almost entirely OOS) this cycle. MSAR states that they offered 300 OOS interviews so there seems to be plenty of OOS interviews left for the cycle

They will only review from 3 letter writers if it’s the same as last year. Trying to be equitable so applicants with a committee or more letters (traditional applicants) don’t have an “advantage” or more letters.
no i understand that, but does the committee letter itself (not the X amount of letters you attach to it, just what's written for that singular letter) count as one letter you can use?
As of last year, yes, so it should be the same. However, if you have additional questions or want to be sure, reach out to Ms. Weeks, she's incredibly helpful and responds quickly.

My guy, chill. I'm right there with you in the desperate wait for an in-state II but it will be hard to figure out and isolate why some are getting IIs (besides being rockstars who we are all happy for 😉). I doubt everyone has such significant publications, though most will probably have some sort research experience.
Interviewed last year with a first author pub and was a key talking point in all my interviews. Not everyone else had those types of experiences though, if you have good extracurriculars and a story that’s what matters.
