Interview Feedback:
University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston Interview Feedback
lol does the video interview ask why you want to be a doctor

UTMB interviews the most people each year among Texas schools (1000+?).

I think so! I saw either on MSAR or their website that they interview around 1,100 people each year… but I don’t know if that’s going to be different this year since they’ve added another screening tool (the video interview/secondary)

Interviewing count does not change with screening tools (they went to MMI, added casper, then duet and so on). The people they select can change based on how they are scoring for each additional tool they added. Is video interview weighted at 5% or 15%, casper 5% or 25% is what we dont know.

Crossing my fingers that casper isn’t weighed heavily 😐

Has anyone interviewed here yet and have any feedback?
Their format this year is a virtual MMI, not sure what can be added to that
Also there's an interview feedback link at the top of every school thread which includes comments from past applicants

Is there any sort of dress code for the mandatory orientation?

Did y’all receive secondaries about 5 days after your app was transmitted? I think McGovern and UTMB are the two schools that would wait several days instead of immediately the next day to send secondaries invites, right? I’m trying to figure out which secondaries to prioritize

I got UTMB secondaries the morning when my primary got processed, and Mcgovern three days later.

It is possible that some schools bunch them to once a week or something and not necessarily exact number of days specific to you.

For those who are doing the UTMB orientation - when I put in the passcode for the meeting, it says passcode in correct. do y'all have the same issue?

I'm wondering if we should call the number and ask them about it.

I didn't get the new passcode. Not sure what to do.
