But this is the sentiment that I think has a possibility to come from scum looking for a place to park their vote on rather than town. Because it looks like you are translating a difference in opinion into a scumread.
So you are slightly lower than neutral in my readlist as of now.
 
Wait… so coop claims vanilla townie as where she got town from. So what other roles besides jester have a win con of trying to get yeeted? (I don’t have the list in front of me) And why would that only apply to day 1? And regardless of what that is, how is that at all useful to town anyway? Even if it’s vengeful, you’re still potentially taking out a villager (which as far as I know has never been used for D1 only). And then it could all just as well be scum misdirection at its finest.

Uh dude. I've already answered this. Please read my response. I was trying to get yeeted D1 because I wasn't having fun. Now I feel guilty and need to at least try. D1 yeet is one thing. The rest of the game is another.

To make it super duper extra coopah clear: I didn't want to get yeeted to win, I wanted to stop playing.

I asked to be subbed, they posted asking for subs, they informed be there was little chance of getting a sub. I figured I'd eventually be mod killed for not participating but then I felt bad. So I'm trying. At least a little

The first question (how else would you scumhunt other than having ideas about what scum vs village would be more likely to do) I agree he dodged.

The way I’ve been reading it is that he finds your start of immediately suggesting a strategy that involves everyone revealing something was aggressive. I think a lot of your confusion over this is just site meta. We don’t repeat setups exactly and only rarely do sequels that are very similar setups, so we don’t have established strategies for certain setups like mu, ms, ps, etc. Also I haven’t seen any open games on SDN so revealing in general is not really a thing here except as a last-ditch self-prez. I think it’s kind of weird that he insists this is an aggressive strategy because it’s not like you were telling people to ROLE reveal and even though we haven’t played greatest idea before I think the affiliation reveal strategy is pretty intuitive once explained, and your posts made it clear you weren’t proposing this as some kind of crazy scheme, you thought of it as just “okay this is how everyone starts a game of greatest idea”. But I think he has explained what he sees as aggressive. The other part I believe is the same thing as what he means by “talking about what scum would or wouldn’t do”: you have a very assertive way of explaining your reads. I rarely see you use qualifiers or note doubt about your reads. I think that’s part of what cubs is reacting to and apparently reading as “aggressive”. I think this is another difference in site meta, or at least a personal difference in style, rather than AI for either of you.
Yeah, he was pushing an idea that you had purposefully asked about revealing the role people used for affiliation in a confusing way to try to frame people negatively for not understanding. Idgi but I also don’t know how you missed this if you were searching his posts.



Overall this post reinforces how I felt about chaos, seems like he genuinely feels there are questions he is confused about why cubs is reading him scum, not like he’s pretending cubs hasn’t explained to make up shade on cubs, and definitely seems a lot like the argument with LIS. Kind of raising an eyebrow at Chaos allegedly missing cubs’s posts about the confusing language thing even when searching cubs’s posts, but idk the rest sounds genuine and nothing else about Chaos has really pinged me.

This helps clear up my confusion somewhat.

I guess its an issue of how he worded it. Bc using the word aggressive there makes it seem I was doing something like "GIVE ME YOUR ALIGNMENT , NOW!!!! " , which I didnt.
Same thing when he considers trying to get info to be controlling the spread of info.

Well I did see posts about how he was confused about what alignment / role were , but didnt realise he was scumreading me based on his confusion.
That seems like quite a bit of a stretch , like he thought I purposely worded my post confusingly so that I can make him slip?? That sounds pretty wild tbh.

I guess I understand it to some degree , but still dont feel that good about him.

I don't see how it's more of a letdown than actively trying to get killed anyway. Either way, the team would be down a member, and if she's village, her trying to get herself yeeted and succeeding would mean the rest of village wasted a yeet cycle that would have been better used on scum.

Which means likely solo scum or executioner (the role Stagg had)

I pointed out that the fluff wasnt bothering me, and defended you over those things (and even defending you in a post last night about jokey playstyles) but the continued lack of participation otherwise is what started to bother me over the 36 hour cycle. Then D2 you particpated more so I lowered you a little bit on my list. Then yesterday you got really defensive again and today its kinda the same tone, only you seem more on the offensive than the defensive. You seem to be trying to now sketch me out of nowhere for not making any contributions to the game when I clearly have, and now voting me I guess because we've been arguing all morning? So still not sure what to make of it. And yes, I missed the point that you were actively trying to get yeeted just for not having fun, which is what led to my above post, and nearly getting all of us killed anyway because people started talking about subs.

Which is what started this whole conversation and me asking about if there was actually any village role where this would be possible/useful. Because I was of the understanding it was of the latter, which were her exact words.

TBF, I dont think her having a role she didnt like would play into her acting that way at all. Plenty of other stuff, but not that. Still doesnt mean she doesnt have a role she doesnt like or is an affiliation she didnt want to play, but I doubt thats a driving factor for "Actively trying to get yeeted."

To actually use this content for gameplay, her explanation of D1 is fair, but the erraticness of her play as described above (D1 - defeated/dont care D2 - playing for real with decent content D3 - super defensive D4 - super offensive) I dont care much for.

ETA: Im kind of mixing game cycles with actual 24 hour days, but hopefully im making my point.

Hey y’all I am alive. I was super busy with work and I felt crappy the past two days (and no it was not at all related to being hydrated :sorry:) so I’ve been a bit absent from SDN. I’m at lunch now, so I’m reading as much as I can and I will get back on tonight (I get home about 5pm CDT) and dedicate that time to getting caught up.

(Note that I am not trying to AtE, just explaining why I’ve been gone)

Basically your entire interaction with sunny.... which is now kind of how youre going at it with me, only with sunny it was defensive/passive aggressive but today with me youre the one who started up the fracas (nice...been looking to use that word legitimately for a while now :laugh:)

So now that ive explained my thought process/interpretation of how I feel youve acted this game, showed that I was actually defending you at points that you claimed made it opportunistic to go at you (I also never even placed a vote on you), admittedly didnt realize you were trying to self-yeet for a non game related reason, what else do you have on me to warrant a vote?

Ah well sunny I can no longer engage with as I will lose my everloving mind. That's not defensiveness that's me being completely annoyed by someone and legit giving up having any reasonable discussion with them (que some sassy response from sunny).

I seem to remember me burning games to the ground rather than work with someone out of bitterness (cough STL game cough) so this really shouldn't be too surprising

I've already stated I thought your interactions and reasons for finding dubz sketch was weird. Then looking back on chaos interaction I was confused as to why it went on for so long... Basically the reasons I stayed before. I'm by no means locked into this vote I'm just putting pressure where I think it's warranted
