i couldn't help myself! i called the office to see if i could find out any info on when our statuses will be updated, but i was given what seemed like an automated response "you will be receiving notification within the next 2 weeks" no dice......... oh well good luck to everyone still waiting on a decision and hopefully we'll hear some news today or tomorrow!

He was an instructor for the physiology course; I had a couple labs with him. Glad your interview went well, but unfortunately I don't know much about his role in admissions.

I had Dr. Offner.
 
I just heard via e-mail from my interviewer! I'm 95% certain I'm attending in the Fall... Really looking forward to meeting all of my future classmates!

I received my offer letter in the mail today and my call came in on Friday 1/8; however, my status page has still not changed. Best of luck to everyone still waiting.

Nice. Congrats! I live in Philly as well so if I don't hear via status page today the presence (or absence) of a letter when I get home tonight might be a good indicator. 😉
 
Hi all,

I haven't been following this thread so I hope you guys can fill me in. People have already heard acceptance news? I thought we were waiting for emails or letters being sent/postmarked on the 15th?

For you lucky people that have heard already, when did you interview?
 
For those of us who intervied mid December, do you guys think we'll hear back by Jan 15-ish as well?

Don't think so. I believe the cut-off date to be reviewed in the first go around was end of Nov/beginning of Dec (according to the Witzman)
 
i interviewed sometime in November and I think Dean Witzburg told everyone that they do this in two batches and that everyone interviewed before the break would be reviewed for this round. so you should expect to hear soon too. however, just looking at the other response makes me think i'm confusing interviews at this point and just being forgetful. you could always call them?

speaking of weird interviewers, the one at BU was like a job interview where they try and throw you off by distracting you and acting disinterested. then he totally changed his tone at the end and told me i interviewed very well. in my paranoid mind i was thinking that he just didn't want me to ask for a second interview haha

Anyone interview with Dr. Balady and get a phone call? I tried searching the forums and it seems he doesn't typically call?
 
What about Dr. Schwartz? Anyone hear? I've never seen his name on any forum so was just wondering...

Oh and a little advice: when you are uploading a letter to BU, I would double check the website to make sure it saved. I didn't push save, so hopefully I'll at least be deferred so they'll read it!

Isn't it T minus 45 minutes. I thought it was 4:45 PM. It is EST.

i think the emails were timestamped 4:55 EST so still maybe in the next 2 minutes.............?

haha they sent it out right when everyone was leaving from work for home last year. It's probably not an exact rule what time it'll come (if it does today 🙂 )

Although.....looking at the application site.....

Yeah - I got the acceptance call from my interviewer on Friday (01/08) morning, and have not yet received the CBC email (not from AMCAS nor CertPhi). On a happier note, I got my acceptance letter in the mail today! (I live in Boston, so probably on the earlier side of snail-mail recipients).
 
Still haven't gotten an interview or a rejection.

No news is good news?

*sigh*
 
I guess that means I won't be getting an acceptance. I live in Boston and I didn't receive anything in the mail today...
 
ahhh this is painful i cant wait anymore! do you guys think there is still a chance for later today??
 
According to those who are accepted, you would've gotten a mail today if accepted...so I guess we are waiting for either deferred or rejected status.
