EWWW I just realized the REDSKINS, the WIZARDS, and the " Washington "Natinals" you guys who follow sports know why I spelled it NATINALS ... I can't see myself rooting for ANY of THEM!!!......I think I will have to stick to my PATRIOTS, SOX, CELTICS
CONGRATS EVERYONE!
You must be from Beantown...Booooooo! j/k Being from the tri-state area, I root for all things NY, and vehemently oppose all things Boston. Imo, rooting for DC teams would be a step up 😉
well, if you threw a bucket of white paint on some of these people there is no way you'd be able to tell that they were black... i find it kind of amusing, cant wait till some of these people get their first taste of raw outright discrimination... wish i could be there.
Wow. How did such a positive thread deteriorate so quickly?? Are we really trying to define what "being Black" is? All thru this thread I've read nothing but support and positive advice and maybe some friendly jokes along the way. Next time I look up, it's done a rather abrupt about-face.
But, I'm sure you know the personal experiences and histories of every single person you've communicated with on SDN or in-person. I'm sure that in order to make such a bold statement, you've thoroughly researched each person and what they've gone thru to get to where they are right now. What makes these people "white"? Proper grammar? I'm really confused (especially since this is all on-line), so enlighten me. And even if this statement was formed after meeting someone in-person, you still have no idea what they've been through. To those with no interest in HBCUs, then good riddance to them, right? They are not your competition, and therefore should not be of your concern. Who cares if they care about HBCUs...imo, they are not for everyone. We were all born with the right to chose, so let them chose.
And how small of you to wish discrimination upon anybody...let alone a fellow URM. Added to the fact that you would derive pleasure from observing such an experience, I sincerely hope to never be at an institution you're associated with. What sense of community does that foster??
