Just wondering... has anybody from the 10/1 or 10/2 interview group heard anything back yet?

I just contacted Dean Hicks for my status and learned I was accepted!!!!😀

I am so excited...Hopkins might just be my #1 choice🙂. I interviewed 10/2 so I think others will hear back very soon. to all.

I emailed the office asking when I should expect to hear back and Dean Hicks emailed me letting me know I could call her for news on my app. I called today and got the good news.

Agreed it's a great school, but I know several from Hopkins(undergrad) who choose to go elsewhere IF they get into equal caliber schools. I went there as an undergrad too and did lots of things at the medical school and I think I would also do the same. I think there's something about "novelty" that excites ppl.

I have been at Hopkins for a long time now and this one is going to be very hard to turn down and I probably won't. Even my parents want me to stay here. Having said that, there are a few not several JHU undergrads who choose to go elsewhere but that could be not because of the school but other things like family, relationships, scholarships, finances, etc.

Ahhh, I feel so happy and excited for the people who got acceptances!

We need people like you here, so I really hope you get in and we could be classmates! =)

I recently got really interested in John Hopkins. It's such a great school.

I hope I have a shot here, but I've been getting so many rejections it's disheartening.

My interview was on 10/2. I actually sent the office an e-mail last night inquiring about the status of my application. No e-mail response this morning but got the phone call around noon (PST).

Guess its better than a straight-out rejection, but might as well be considering they only took 3 people last year from that list.

I'd be willing to bet that they are gonna accept less people this year to avoid the problem they had last year. So I think more than 3 people will come off the alternate list this year. I mean that'd be the logical thing for them to do, right?

You know, I had forgotten that they had to go through SO MANY people last year before they even got to the alternate list.

Frankly though, I'm shocked that I've even made it this far. And to have a choice of places, I'm just grateful as it is.

Does anyone know about how many people they reject VS. put on the alternate list?
