Nope, the WUMS apply database just switches over at midnight on the friday after the meeting. At least it did this last time at the same time, and it has been switched over tonight!!! Login in and if you were accepted it will say "Congratulations, orrghead16!" on your home page. It won't change if you got rejected, waitlisted, or no decision.

Login and check!

Well, I interviewed much later than you, so who knows then. I think many people who interviewed in early October heard back as early as Nov. 14th, no?

In any case, I'm going to try not to let that make me any more neurotic than I already am 😉.

Well, then it's definitely not good news, I guess? I checked just now and there's no change. So I assume that's one of the three situations you listed.

Definitely not good news, but might not be bad news.

I have no idea, that's why I'm not going to get too worked up about the fact that these two got their decisions already. Hopefully by tomorrow, when more people report back here, we'll get a clearer idea if MD acceptances were actually sent out yesterday.

Don't worry about it bro. I interviewed at about the same time as kmsi and jla but they heard the last cycle. At first I thought that meant their adcomm had decided to waitlist me or wouldn't let me know until March but apparently that wasn't the case. Just because you interviewed at a certain time doesn't mean that if you don't hear back you're waitlisted. Oh, and I only applied MD. 7 years is way too long for me. Props to all you crazy MSTP people.

I am 10 minutes late to happy hour. First acceptance. To a top choice to top it off. Graduating tomorrow, just got an email a few minutes confirming i made it.

Life doesn't get much sweeter. Good luck for those waiting for this round. Check those status pages after midnight central, it should be up!

i interviewed early november and my status page hasn't changed. maybe i didn't get reviewed this time?

Interviewed Nov 12th. Haven't heard back yet.

If people from October are only now hearing then maybe they didn't get to my application. I'm guessing it depends if your interviewer was able to attend the meeting?

If I call, they will tell me if I was reviewed or not?

Interview invite! Was complete since July and didn't really expect anything, so to the other applicants who have been waiting for a long time, don't lose hope! Best Christmas present ever. :soexcited:

If I have retained my information right from reading this thread before, there will be 1 open file faculty interview, and possibly another one (also open file?) by a "less experienced" interviewer?

How long does the pizza party run? Just looking at the available flights, it looks like I'll probably be late for it.

It ran for about 1 hour. don't worry if you are late/can't make it. it was basically jus an opportunity to talk with current med students. you should have enough chance to talk to students on the interview day!

Not true. Both of my interviewers had been doing it a long time. It's just to make sure that they can get an accurate feel for a person with one (by seeing if the two of them agree on a person).

hmmm

my first interviewer (the 'inexperienced' one) confirmed what wildcats said. he was kind of pseudo ticked about still being checked, since he'd been interviewing for a few years 🙂
 
so i'm planning my interview stay at wustl and have come up with a couple of questions

1) It states that the pizza party the night before is in "Olin Hall Link" - is that a room or something in the Olin Residence Hall?

2) The day of, there is the breakfast at 7:15 with students at Shell Cafe. (a) where is Shell Cafe? (b) is this with current students, prospective students (applicants), or both?

3) I'm staying at Olin a second night (a Friday night) and leaving Saturday morning. Any recommendations on what to do Friday night? Places to go? Places to avoid? etc?

3. Could see the Zoo!

Yeah, the Olin Hall Link is just a 'Link' between Olin Hall and other buildings. It was a pretty nice place to have it, in terms of being casual and such.
 
wordswordswords -- chin up, you may not have been accepted, but this is still good news. Sounds like you'd be among the very first off the waitlist.

Were you here tonight? We got to go get sandwiches / burritos cause the pizza didn't arrive, was pretty cool (and cold, but that's okay).

Anyhow, I have an interview the next day too on the west coast, should be fun...

pizza party was tomorrow night i thought? and yea man im in the same boat as you...i fly back home to socal tuesday night after my interview then drive down the next morning to UCSD, it's mad crazy

The finaid guy would have been Bob McCormack; not sure of diversity affairs...
 
so if we interviewed pretty early and haven't been accepted, should we assume that its kind of a rejection? or do people get accepted later on?

people get accepted later on. someone who interviewed the same day as me was accepted a month after i heard back. :luck:
 
they sure do seem to have a ridiculous number of interviews, don't they? anyone going to be there thurs/fri - or is that just mstp?

thanks-loved this school! trying to keep up hope despite an early oct interview...had some additional circumstances though that might have delayed the review though
