Sorry, my virtual friend, but you waited too long. My second away rotation starts on Monday and I'll be gone for another whole month. How about a Halloween weekend bash? Or are you all planning to do that Weatherheadless party?
Nooooo.jpg

But....but........
Yeah, I planned on going to the weatherheadless thing. I imagine a lot of students will be, defeating the purpose of a "reunion" type thing.
Okay, I give up and am switching to emails on this  We'll post final plans!

so sorry to hear that. when were you complete?
I was rejected UP and still waiitng on CCLCM

8/17.

It was the opposite of shocking. Even I couldn't think of a reason that they should accept me....

I'm soooo out-of-the-loop on everything...could someone please let me in on this wetherheadless thing? 😵

The Weatherheadless Ball is the giant party that the School of Management throws every year on that weekend. They take over the Peter B. Lewis building (the highly reflective and oddly shaped building on campus) and proceed to make merry. There's also a costume contest.🙂

Grad and professional students only.👍

(I'm in for the costume portion, but if your idea of fun involves a great number of people dancing in an inch deep reflecting pool o' beer, then this might be your kind of party.)

All in!

The website status says complete even though I haven't received a 'complete' email. Strange?

*throws a tantrum at not hearing back from CP yet even though complete since mid july*
After this looong wait, it better be an interview or they could just have well have rejected me from day one.
I really really want an interview...really

Not really, if it was anything like last year, sometimes the website updated faster than notification emails went out. If you are concerned/nervous that you are not complete - you are. Look for that e-mail tonight or tomorrow even. 🙂

Case sends complete emails? I never got one though the website indicated I was complete over a month ago...haven't heard anything from UP or CP though. Should I call to check my status?

We do not send email completion notices.

Thanks Myuu, nothing like causing paranoia in the pre-meds...Right...and this is why I should stay off the thread... 😳

Also, well played on the very last post of the last season thread!

a) I couldn't remember, so I asked.😛
b) It's occasionally useful to be able to post in locked threads.:meanie:

No worries, thanks for the help! Strange to not hear anything when others are getting invited/rejected. Oh well.

So I'll be up there for an interview this Friday. My plane gets there really early thursday morning and I'll be staying at a nearby hotel to the admissions building. Any good food recommendations or where I can chill for Thursday? A free wifi place would be ideal. How's the weather been in cleveland?

Free wifi = starbucks at Cedar Farimont...or right next door at Liquid Planet...

Good luck, fellow working-engineer-turned-pre-med!

...in retrospect, what in the world doesn't taste great with a pound of assorted cheeses melted on top? 😀

along with the smallpox vaccine, hot tubs, and coffee, melted cheese is one of man's top 5 most impressive achievements in history. i honestly can't think of anything that a pound of melted cheese wouldn't make better (other than maybe a glass of coke or pepsi).

I loved interviewing at this school. If I can get an acceptance Oct 15th, I'll probably withdraw from my next 4.

Mmmmmmm....
Cheesy cola....

Hello everyone,

Does anybody know whether or not Case Western has started giving out MSTP interview notifications?

Thanks!

So nervous for my first interview this friday! I'll be in really early tomorrow and will hang out at various places with wifi and attempt to do my day job remotely somewhere. (benefit of being an engineer by day!)

I'm craving some good lasagna, especially after seeing all the talk about eggplants and lasagna! Anyone know of any good lasagna places where I won't look like a loser dining by myself?

Just interviewed here and it was awesome! The most relaxed interviews I've had so far. Oct. 15th can't come soon enough!:scared:

Now we are starting to sound like CWRU applicants!
It's too true. That's exactly what I said after my interview. 😍 I hope the adcom feels the same way for you guys! :xf:

I'll be giving your tour tomorrow - look for an eggplant necklace 😉 And yay for non-traditional students! There are lots of us here. The diversity of the student body is amazing.

Mama Santa's is a decent price. If you want mind-blowing, Angelo's Nido Italiano or Trattoria are a step up in price (like $12-14 for lasagna i think.) but worth a splurge now and then. The eggplant parmesan is divine at both. And enormous portions.

Someone asked about free wifi - the entire Case campus has it, if you wanna walk around and chill in the library or a lounge somewhere like the BRB or a bench outside.
There's also a Starbucks right next to campus with free wifi. Most coffee shops have it too. A lot of people like Phoenix cafe.

Woke up at 4am today to rush to the airport to catch my flight that ended up an hour delayed 😴

Then I hiked over a mile with a bookbag and suit luggage from the university circle stop to the cleveland clinic guesthouse where I'm staying. Glad I checked the weather because where I come from, it ain't 88 degrees! My room wasn't ready so I left some stuff with them and hiked to Little Italy's Mama Santas for some Lasagna, per VC7777's suggestion. Although I've had better, it certainly hit the spot and was a good $9 instant gratification. I might try Auriga's suggestion for dinner but I don't know if I want to do the hike again.

With all the talk about eggplant, I suddenly want eggplant parm for dinner! I just hiked all the way back to the hotel (room still not ready) but the eggplant craving is starting to grow.

I'll be on the lookout for the eggplant necklace tomorrow! not sure about the eggplant underwear

Oh, and I bought a box of sweet bakery from a place in little italy. I'm tempted to eat it now but it's suppose to be a gift. I hope it's good!

:meanie: That hike's a killer, isn't it? Well, if you are looking for more convenient to the guest house, you should maybe check out Table 45, across from CCLCM in the Intercontinental. It's pricey - but more convenient, I suspect since it is Thursday, the happy hour (starting at 4 till 6 all you can eat appetizers with one drink purchase) will attract some of the CCLCM students, too (the 1st years, including my self are off, btw).

Good luck with the interview!

start of interview day in 12 hours 😀 such a beautiful hospital

interview invite with UP (rejected from CP weeks earlier)!! complete middle of august. 😍

Congrats TFS! 👍

I'm looking forward to giving my first tour tomorrow! See you there Engineer and Crisco! 😀
