Yeah... I sincerely hope this interviewer is not representative of the school as a whole, too. My interview just really upset me.

I wish best of luck to everyone waiting for decisions! I'm guessing that waitlists/acceptances are next up 🙂

I can assure you that that experience was not a representation of the school as a whole. But sadly there are a handful of interviewers who should not be interviewing candidates. I've heard a few others in the past say bad things but my own experience with BUSM faculty was nothing like that when I was a grad student there. So its really hit or miss. I'm sorry you had to go through it.

Hey, hope you get good news soon! 😀 I loved everyone I met from my interview group, at least, so that was definitely a plus for the day.

Also, thank you to everyone else ahagdf. Lots of hard decisions ahead!

Bleh, really sorry to hear that too. I was honest on my feedback for the day though, so hopefully they'll pull this interviewer next year. :xf:

Dr. Witzburg said that it was very small (literally a stack of files on his desk) but I don't think BU has reported an actual statistic for their Waitlist. Good luck!

Yeah you would think they would check out who they are using to interview students before they do such.

But you have some balling acceptances and I'm sure you'll make the right choice for you!! 🙂. Congrats again on the others!! 🙂
 
I just called the admissions office and they said decisions will be released sometime next week! I thought they said end of March!!!

Uhg for real? That's so obnoxious the email they sent when I was deferred in January definitely said the end of March. Well it seems as though they already sent out some rejections so who knows.

Maybe I misread it but on the AAMC website there is a document outlining procedures that Med Schools should follow during the application cycle. According to this all schools need to accept a number of students at least equal their anticipated class size by March 30. I'm not really sure if this is just a recommendation or if BU has found a way around it. Regardless, it is very surprising to hear March deferrals might not come out until next week.

I was deferred in January and I have yet to check my status page but I will in a few! Thanks everyone and good luck!!
 
Yes I interviewed with Dr. Witzburg. Also I just checked and my online status has not changed
 
I heard that I was accepted from my interviewer as well about 20 minutes ago (not Dr. W.). I interviewed the last day of the season so obviously it wasn't a differed decision.
 
FIRST ACCEPTANCE!!!!!! Thrilled! 😍
Got the call from Dr. Sarita-Reyes at around 2:30 today!

Was ambivalent before the interview but fell in love with the program during my interview day. A little bummed but ... *shrug*
