CCLCM isn't close to the train, but it is close to the RTA Healthline bus which can get you to a train station.

Application is complete (although I got no email). How will we know when further action is taken on our app? Are we sent an e-mail?

Iapply sends you an email. Best of luck. Mine took awhile since i was super gunner and submitted early for both program, even though both reviews hadn't started :laugh:

Im super excited for this school. The more downtime i have the more i spend on the programs website reading stuff. And the biomedical engineering research is 100% aligned with what i want to do.

Oh, okay. After reading through this thread, it all makes sense now. It sounds like applicants (like myself) who applied to both programs (UP and CP) are receiving responses a bit slower than those who applied to only one program? Either way, I'll be keeping everyone updated with my own progress.

Any student hosting at Case or do we simply crash in a hotel for two days?
 
Does anyone know if Case (specifically the University Program) does silent rejections or are they pretty good about letting applicants know a decision regardless of the outcome?

Apparently on Iapply after invite there are links that give you information about the interview day including suggested transportation modes and hotels. They mention that in late august when the med students come back they will begin to see who is open for student housing.

Yeah - looks like it. I applied to both and was complete on 7/25 - just got interviews to both programs today 😀 The wait is a little longer if you´re applying to both CP and UP, but it´s worth it! Good luck! :luck:

Hi guys...just thought I'd brush the cobwebs off of my SDN account and say hi to all the new applicants! Congrats on all the interview invites so far 👍👍 and good luck to those who are just submitting secondaries and/or still waiting to hear back.

M1s are having our Block 1 exams this week, so after those are over I'll try to come back and post some reflections on life at Case so far so you guys can have a n00b's perspective on all that is Case Med. Sneak preview: it's awesome 😀

As a side note, a mysterious ninja planted cookies in my mailbox today....who could that be? 😏 Incidentally, I had the cookies in my possession for about fifteen seconds before they were inhaled by myself and two of my fellow IQ group members.

And P.S. if you guys have any questions about the interview process, life during Block 1, how I chose Case, omelette preparation techniques, how to put a cart on the cart escalator thing at Target, or whatever, feel free to PM me. I'm not really an authority on anything Case/Cleveland related yet (except the cart escalator because we had one in Minneapolis) but I can share my experiences so far.

EDIT: That was slightly ambiguous, but you can accurately interpret this to refer to "SDN", "Casemed", or any other social gathering of people, I suppose!

hey guys when you say complete do you mean that the website marked you as complete or do you mean you got a personal email from the admissions office telling you that you're complete? cuz I was marked complete on the application status website on 8/1 but I never got an email or anythings saying I was complete

Same. They don't send emails. You were indeed complete on 8/1. You could be getting a response by the end of the week; who knows?

under my college track, it says cannot interview. But the university track is blank. Does anyone else have this?

is this good or bad?

Oh, there is a plethora of housing available! You'll get a link for hosts, and tons of M2s and M1s will provide our emails and description of ourselves/accomodations to see with whom you'd find it most interesting/enjoyable to stay. I hosted 2 last year. One of them is in the first year class now 😀

They will let you know! Keep checking iApply, that's definitive. I don't want to admit how many times I logged into that site. We had a Doc Opera song about it last year - the OCD in all of us comes out during app season ><

I can't wait to hear your essay on Target carts!! I was mind-blown by that thing, and seriously tempted to sit in one and ride. But mental images of mangled extremities made me decide otherwise.

And I have no idea who might be this ninja of which you speak. :ninja:

It says on the status page that my secondary was submitted on 8/1 (I never got a complete email). Do both the college and uni programms make the decisions together, for those that got interviews and rejections already?

I'm a current CCLCM student, and no, admissions is completely separate and independent. The only "combined" thing is if they both offer you interviews, they'll try to arrange it back to back for your convenience.

Hmmm, sifting through my gray matter storeroom of totally random minutia it seemed to me that a little less than a year ago, there was an eggplant pin and a knowing smile....

Fun stuff to try sometime before you get in too, too deep. Terrace Club at the Jake. Fun place to grab some chow and watch the game and an even better place to spend the 2 hr rain delay they had Tues night! Lots of soggy fans outside!:meanie: Maybe wait for when they play the Twins?:idea:

So now that the CP shat on my dreams. How soon can I expect to hear from the UP, or is there no relation?

With the recent CP rejection for interviews, im curious as to how many they interview for CP? Vc any thoughts? or Myu?



I know the UP interviews ~800/3500ish I think...
